so is negima ending really soon? and if so do u think the ending will be left in the air on who negi ends up with like a cliche scene where they all chase after him or do u think theres gonna be a clear ending?

I think its one more arc after this. Possibly on earth. I'm still waiting for the 'asuna memory conclusion', imho she is the best candidate for negi right now.
Imho the last scene will be negi and asuna meet nagi and arika.
Ps: without realizing his obsession to search his father has made him do several stuff that a magister magi do...

I doubt it, the manga is still way too early to end. Come on even Naruto was able to prolong to 500 chapters why can't Negima?

Well I think this arc still has a lot of chapters left. I think the final battle will start in the Magic realm and continue at the academy and along the way a few more pactios will be made. Personally I think its hard to decide who he should end up with. Everyone has grown a lot throughout this recent arc and a good argument for Asuna, Nodoka, or even Chisame could be made. I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the ride and see how it all ends.

And yes, I think there will be one more arc at least, and it will deal with where his father and mother have been all this time.

And as to whether whom he ends up with i think it depends if the manga ends with him still being ten then it will be an open ending but if it ends with him being 15+ he might end up with only one

Akamatsu still needs to bring out Ayaka, Sakurako, Madoka, Misai, and Fuuka and Fumika. And probably Satsuki a little more. I definitely expect much from Ayaka.

anyone ever read ghost sweeper?

its probably got among the best endings, and this is how you do shit plots i have ever read.
its ending fades out, it doesnt explain anything and there is not climatic battle it just fades, and it honestly could have gone on alot longer without a major enemy, and still been as good.

negima would do good to learn from it, just because there is no big bad and there is not real climatic plot doesn't mean there isn't more story to be told, namely if he ends up with a harem or not.

remember around the church 2 chapter bit? what nodoka thought? who is to say its just 1 person he ends up with.

i would lol my ass off if the whole class is in wedding gowns and negi in a tux for an ending.

Or perhaps they throw us a curveball and after the battle against Fate, he kisses him and suddenly it has a Yaoi ending with them as a couple.

And in regards to Ghost Sweeper Mikami, I'm not a big fan of endings that are merely a chance for the creator to leave it open for him to go back if he felt like it. I liked it a lot, and ZKC as well, but would have liked a more definitive ending. But that's just me I guess.

for negima it would be better to have a open ending, than a this is how shit happens, deal with it ending.

Bah. If Akamatsu does decide to take the Tenchi Solution (read/watch Tenchi Muyo GP! (I think that's what it's called) for an explanation), then it's going to be done with a timeskip. You all seem to forget the fact that Negi's ONLY FREAKIN' 10...ish. And he doesn't understand a thing about anyone's feelings, evidenced by the fact that other characters have to continually tell him just who likes him and whatnot. Regardless, him choosing someone right now would most likely result in Asuna, though that mainly stems from the fact that he views her as a sister replacement.

Personally, I feel as though the manga has moved at the right pace. I would've liked a bit more exposition on the magic world and its inhabitants, although we probably won't be getting more information

now that it's been revealed that they don't actually exist at all. But I digress. The fights have been spectacularly placed and placed throughout the manga, with enough intelligent plot stuff going on around them to break it up enough.

Lastly, I'd much rather see Negi end up with Chisame over anyone else. But that's just personal preference.

you dont get them often. but yea, at the same time, most people think thats not a real ending either.
