Dunno she is a princess so from most facts that would make them sisters,if they were cousins,she would be a duchess

i think they should have a time skip and negi ending up with a signal person because i can't see an ending any other way that wouldn't leave me feeling screwed (but that's just my opinion).......OH AND SCREW YOU GUYS NODOKA FTW 😛

The story right now currently focuses a lot more on Fate than on Nagi, which is Negi's original objective. There should be at least one more arc after this.

all of the people here who for whatever reason think that its gonna be a harem ending fail it is already stated in the early chapters after the festival battle that Negi ends up with 1 girl out of the grp. The only obvious thing not revealed was who it was but at the time it was foreshadowed to be Asuna go back and reread

negima will end when they find out the truth about nagi and arika and all got a hapy ending (don´t forget it was drawn by the same mangaka as Love Hina. This guy loves happy ends.)
negi will most likely end up with asuna (since she resembles Naru and the other previous heroines so much) but i´m rooting for Nodoka

Few things to add to this discussion, first of all I can see all kinds of future arcs so I see no reason for it to be forced to end anytime soon. There's still an entire world of unexplored magic, back on earth. All they really covered was japan, and a small trip to UK. Then there's arcs focusing more on specific characters possible, even if they're short. Assuming they do save the magicl world there's the aftermatch (tho it doesn't seem like his style to deal with it, it's still possible). There's also a possible arc for whatever that fake world they were talking about is calleed.
As for possible endings, nothing say that he has to end up with one or go harem ending. The ending doesn't actually have to deal with romance. It's possible he takes 5-6 of the strongest and closest people with him and work tirelessly the rest of their life saving people and so on. That ending would probably be closer to a harem ending but it doesn't actually have to be that way.
Then there's also endings that deal with his fathers current situation. Apparently he is alive and impossible to find, so let's say he's currently somewhere hidden supporting the magical part of the magical world, negi could just take over or at least lessen the burden on his father and mother. That would kinda bind him there and thus not really have any ability to romance anyone.
Now, I'm not saying any of these theories are likely, but they're "possible" and I just used them to show that he still has a lot of room to change his mind in the direction of the story.
Personally I'm just gonna sit back, enjoy and then rage at the ending, as I always do.

While the series COULD end at this point, there is still alot of room for many more arcs imo, guess that's one of the benefits of having like, 30+ main characters and 2 worlds to explore. I think more recent chapters show that akamatsu is more then willing to explore minor characters as shown by suddenly introducing Zazie as a significant character after barely mentioning her for SEVEN YEARS, so if he wanted to who knows how many minor characters could suddenly appear to be really important. My hope is this series continues on for a long time, I've grown attached to and its gonna suck not having a chapter to look forward to... ahhh, I remember when only 20ish chapters were scanlated and I looked forward to finding out who Evangeline was... oh man I just got a heavy case of nostalgia 😢

i just noticed that ken akamatsu has been taking a break to "gather information" almost every other week so i think he's running out of ideas on how to advance the plot or to end it. In any case i think a rushed ending might be inevitable if this keeps up.

i very much doubt that... And u might also notice that once he take a break, the chapter that comes afterward usually are one of the best... I even don't mind if negima become a monthly.
I would say that he just 'that' careful on planning his work and at 'that' age.. This is no naruto
ps: he take a break every time he finished four chapters...
