my nickname was given to me from my friend cause I love cats KAT-EYE and then I added my two initials to the end N-E

KAT--EYE--N--E --> KATEYENE

It's just came to my mind, it's mean Spring & Birds, I really like it thought........ (Haru also mean Sunlight in Japanese & in Korean it mean "day") 😃

Since i'm an uncreative little brat I got some inspiration from a friend who on skype is named Empathy.

Heheh, I like this thread. I've just skimmed through dozens of pages. People really do have the most interesting (sometimes strange?) reasons to choose their username. (And it's also an indication that I have way too much time on my hands...)

To stay on topic, my username comes from the title of a book from Asimov (Sci-Fi) Pebble in the Sky. I read it some years ago, and about that time I also first signed up in an online forum. So I needed a name, and I went with Pebble_in_the_Sky.
I like it, so I've kept it since then but it just happened to be shortened in Pebble (or Pebble_) over the years. 😮
