if it's a pic of an amazingly beautiful naked woman.. i'll prefer the picture rather than the description.. if it's anything else.. i'd go for the 1000 words 🙄

with the picture you can make 1000 words but with the words you can make pictures.id pick both but no choice 😐
So basically to vanquish the world of evil you must have mega sex with a girl then your soul is taken...yes

I'd take the pic. 1000 words that I'm randomly reading is kinda... boring and I'm too lazy. Plus, I remember concrete images a lot better than an abstract idea in my head.

I prefer a picture but that's just because I'm lazy.

I like to read and imagine stuff on my own, but for gods sake 1000 words to describe ONE picture?! You must be kiding me. The last time I was reading stuff close to that I started to overlap pages of those parts.
Person who describes picture with 200 words is a intelectual.
Person who describes picture with 500 words is a poet.
Person who describes picture with 1000 words is an idiot/politican who should shut up, but all the people are already asleep from his blabering.

🤣 I was surprised nobody else pointed it out before.
I sort of agree with RexIX though. 1000 words is a bit much to write about just one picture. I remember those middle/high school test I use to take, where one essay would be to describe a picture. And somehow I always had one of those teachers that would say, "You guys are smart, lets double the word count..." half way through the essay I would just write nonsense, and utter crap.

1000 words, written by a decent author, have the potential to spark off almost as many pictures in your mind, and the images are different for everyone, and change and evolve and get more detailed if you read the same words a few years later.. One picture'd have a hard job beating that..
So the words win, even though this is a manga site, and I have been obsessed with some manga and anime and comics to the point where they take over your dreams, as much as anyone 😀 .
Books are the ultimate art form. You just need imagination. (and time, of course, or public transport..)

Whenever I'm assigned to a word count, I usually barely get to it. So to extend it a bit further, I just use a lot of short words and make up loooots of crap. Though when I'm not assigned a word count, then I usually write a lot more...
Getting back to the picture and words part... I think I'm blanking out here. What did that phrase thing even mean?

The phrase is: A picture is worth a thousand words.
It means that complex stories can easily be described with just one image. But it;s more about visualization than anything; the processing of data in order to transfer a message, which can easily be done with an image than with words.
Well, that's what I think it means. ^-^"

Rather than resorting to restating and reinterating things over and over to supplement a word count, I'd choose an elaborate picture...or a sensual picture involving my favorite fetish.

Hmm, thats a tricky one for me. Although words can leave the imagination to do its job, it is sometimes hard to visualise, especially if you don't understand the words 🤣
However, with a picture, its up to you on how you can infer it. Whether you infer in the right way or not, nobody knows. I guess thats the beauty of it though, its up to you to decided. I guess its like that either way but i believe picture is actually more open to imagination than words.
Thats just the art student in me rambling on 🤣 Picture for me in the end; I like interpreting art and finding those deep hidden meaning artists put into their works.
Forget the picture.
I don't want your words either.
I'd rather see it myself, take my own pictures and share my own words.

I picked 1000 words. One can set an entire scene and give the minutest details with words. A picture only gives you a part of that, which makes me want more. I hate being unsatisfied.

I'm not sure if ya'll are lucky or not. My problem always was keeping it withing the required wordcount/page count if there was a tops.
