I'm not sure if ya'll are lucky or not. My problem always was keeping it withing the required wordcount/page count if there was a tops.
I have had this problem before too. I have had a couple of times where we had assignments for short stories that were supposed to be 3 pages or so, and both of mine were over 15 pages. I always write more than I need. I do love pictures though too, as I agree some stuff really can't be expressed in words. I am too indecisive to make a real choice here.

I'd rather read 1000 words and picture it myself. However, I'd rather paint a picture than write 1000 words.
I ain't no good when it comes to writing. 😔

I chose the tab [Result] 😀
It depends on the situation really. In many situations, both would do well than either one of them. Some we can't really compare ie. movie and novel, both have their own advantages.

Well, given my history with diagrams and directions in my circuits lab, 1 picture is much easier to get through. Though it depends really, sometimes a thousand words can point things out to you that you otherwise wouldn't understand. Other times, you can put stuff in words, but can in a picture.

I must be stupid or something, but I've never gotten 1000 words out of a picture, so that phrase is stupid. I chose words.

Forget the picture.
I don't want your words either.I'd rather see it myself, take my own pictures and share my own words.
This.
Since I do it everyday at my job.

A picture!
I was never good with words. I once had to write 2500 words about a lawn. Another 2000 about candles. I would have done anything to submit a picture.

i love poetry, literature, novels and things of that such...
but i still voted for picture because even if the words that the writer expressed it wonderfully...and then people read it...they are literally imagining..and sometimes i wonder if we are imagining the same things...the picture is nice because you can see what the others are seeing... 😀

I think some of us missed the point.
[A picture > a 1000 words] means in some circumstances we need few words and little effort to describe our feeling by using a picture, or somethings that we couldn't put into words.
And a single picture sometimes could lead our imagination goes in different directions, each person has his/her own feeling/interpretation(s).
PS: In my opinion, I think I don't have to choose between 2 options, both are essential depend on the situation, usually we need both of them.
