For me it's both 2 and three.
I just it to be readable and beggars can't be chooser.
I'm happy that someone is translating the manga because I can't read other languages that well.

i prefer it to be HQ, but i'll read LQ if nothing else is available. unless its really LQ, i don't want the story to be ruined by barely being able to see/understand anything

Doing nothing is very hard to do. You never know when you're done.

When reading scanlations, I don't really have a choice when I like the manga.

Things I don't really like-- those things that annoy me the most are:

1. gutters - you can take them out.
2. not leveled ; just put the text there - seriously.
3. not in grayscale - c'mon, I see red pages sometimes!

I try for better quality, but it all depends on how much i wanna read on.

It seems most people want good quality, but I wonder, how many people actually download the HQ release when it gets released, even after some period of time has passed since the LQ version got released? From my own experience, it feels like once most people read the LQ version, they don't care about the HQ version anymore, unless they just want to archive it. But then I don't think most scanlators put in work just to have people archive (at least for me personally, I want people to read our work).
As a scanlator, I'm curious to see what are people's views on this. What do you think?
