After such a long week, One Piece resumes, and it appears this chapter will wrap up Luffy's flashback.

It was rather interesting how Luffy and Ace ended up the way they are up until the present timeline, though eventually, it ended on a grim note (for Luffy, that is).

Anyway, wonder what's going to happen next?

I loved the part when Luffy said Sabo was the better brother and Ace asked if he thought the wrong one died 🙂

Somehow Luffy is going to get a pep talk in the next chapter, but I doubt the crew is coming back soon 🙁 Or maybe he's just going to start training... o_o hard to guess really

That Haki Luffy has inside of him could very well put him on par with some of the stronger enemies he will have to face soon, and with him realizing how weak he is in the new world and where he is right now(An island with haki infused weapons and a leader with the same type as him), that's the only path I can see him taking at the moment.

You know.. When Dadan was first introduced, I didn't really like her at all. But (and this chapter sealed it for me) now I actually like her a lot. I loved her reaction to Ace and Luffy leaving 🤣

I feel bad for Luffy, though (in the present). So, will Boa or Jinbei train him? I mean, I can't see him meeting up with his crew yet.

That's one of the things I love most about One Piece. Just about every character is really likable, even if you didn't like them at first, as the story progresses and their character is expanded, you grow to love them.

after this chapter, i think we all know where this is gonna go. time for some haki lessons booyah

Glad we're back to the present time, cause this the flashback was touching but it kinda lacked that certain feeling that most of his flashbacks have.

Lol, I had gotten used to seeing Luffy as a little kid. He looked a bit too old in present day (just my perception though). Now time for something not predictable, since I doubt Luffy would just power up and defeat everyone.

True. Probably because Sabo's supposed "death" (I'm convinced he's still alive somewhere) wasn't as dramatic or simply ****ed up like the deaths of the loved ones of the other strawhats, where a good deal of them had to watch as the people around them died. Also, this flashback ended on a pretty good note with Luffy embarking on his adventure, unlike the others which essentially ended when died and a strawhat member had to live with 's death.

And was that Zoro doing the rock lifting? Maybe his old sensei will make an appearance down the line as a revolutionary ally.

about the crew. as far as i remember i didnt miss any chapter, and all i could know about the crew was from the intro page of chapters, but after i caught up with the anime... i watched several eps telling what was happening to them. unless i missed something, i guess we gotta watch the anime to figure out whats going on with the rest 😛

this chapter was nice, made the death of ace more fucked up......
not sure sabo is dead, he might be a big ass pirate or working under a big ass or a nasty pirate somewhere, create a twist if luffy gotta fight him later on.

all in all, was a nice flashback, gave us an idea of part of luffy's life, ace's and sabo's, not much appearance of his grandpa though... i love his sense of bonding xD

last page of the chapter was epic, after all those chapters... he is still "weak", and the devastation.... damn i love the mangaka.

I had the feeling Sabo is still alive because he could show up later in the chapter. It be sad if Luffy finally met Sabo in current time and later on, Sabo will die as Ace did or maybe Echiiro give Luffy a chance to save Sabo in order to prove he can once again be a Pirate King. When the Eiichiro kill off Ace, wouldn't it be likely he will kill off luffy at the end to wrap up One Piece? 😢

Through out the series.. Oda Sensei seriously introduced his characters to us. Each one of the crew was carefully created and brought up so we can learn and somehow know them really well. That's one aspect of One Piece that i loved, you know your characters and you see growth in them. The end of this chapter somehow signify that all of the past within the crew is complete. Some minor mysteries like dragon will surely come to the next chapters. But somehow i can fit them perfectly in my mind that the crew will move forward and grow more. What can i assume for the next chapter will be the acceptance of luffy about the death of ace and some vigor training to master his haki and somehow be like roger who doesnt stand back due to the reason of protecting whom he love. What i seriously want is the growth of the crew physically and somehow take on the battle with minimum help from luffy. 🙂

Still ranking and somehow will always stay the BEST manga ever 😀

sigh looks like I'm the only one who's hoping Sabo is alive and be the tenth and final member of the Straw Hats, anyway it's good to be back from the current time line
