I'm looking for a story in which a male character is quite... well insane, but falls in love with a girl even if it is against his nature.
I'm kind of thinking about Daryl and Tsugumi from Guilty Crown, another example would be Vincent and Ada from Pandora Hearts.
The couple doesn't have to be the mains, just one that at least gets a decent amount of time! I've been searching for a bit, and haven't really found something that fits... help!

Whenever I think about insane characters, I think of Okabe from Steins;Gate. But he's probably insane in a good way, so I'm not sure if this is what you want. Anyway the anime is very good so you should give it a chance if you can.

Death Note ...I'm not even sure if he really was in love with two particular girls in the manga. But he did date them. Or at least was getting married to one.

If you haven't read it yet, Soul eater might fill your cup of craziness. We have more than one crazy guy falling in love.

Durarara!! - you can find some interesting pair in this manga, for more advanced story just try the anime or light novel...

The scanlations haven't reached far enough but XO Sisters most definitely has a scene where the main character (who is really crazy) finds himself subconsciously obtaining some romance attractions to certain females.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but Hana ni Arashi. The guy falls in love right away, and goes to ridiculous lengths to get the girl.
Love Celeb - same idea, he was just nuts.

Neither one are insane, they just go crazy in love.

Kimi wa Boku no Mono - this one might be more like it. The boy is only 11, and does terrible things to take the girl from his brother. I just found it unpleasant.

Sekine-kun no Koi, he's not crazy, lets say he's weird and the epitome of indifference. Then he starts to feel weird with a girl.
