Description

- Jigoku Kokyuu no Hitsuyou (Vol.1) Kiyoharu was trying to nap when a girl kissed him because she thought he was dead. He later learns that Touko, the girl, is always kissing someone in response to not being able to breathe and feeling suffocated.
- Fureru Ondo (Vol.2) Kashuu hates being touched because of his past experiences. He will only let Sayuri-sensei, the biology teacher, treat his wounds. To him, Sayuri-sensei's touch is precise and practical without bring up bad memories.

Hana ni Arashi's one redeemable point is that the characters are reasonably well drawn. Otherwise, it's contrived shoujo drivel to the max. Everything's very forced and unnatural, and none of the characters act like actual people. There's just no rhyme or reason to this manga, so unless you're really inexplicably infatuated with the premise or the art, this manga is a total skip.
I thought this storyline lacked a 'realistic' element to it, most of it was quite farfetched. The fast pace just doesn't quite match up with the events. But the ending was worth reading up to, and there are quite a few lovely symbolic elements in it. The characters were established alright I guess, especially the girl. The art is also quite nice.
i generally liked this! like it's been said, it's pretty unrealistic, but not the unrealistic where it makes it seem like it's realistic - if that makes any sense~ i dunno, it was an ok plot (i've seen it a few times before, but you'll have that!) and at times unnecessarily dramatic after periods of relaxing bits (although maybe that was a kind of reference to the relationship between the characters?) but for it's length it was enjoyable. any more and i don't think i could have taken much longer...
i like the art too, i think it helped a lot

the ending made me go, "oh... that's it?" but i'm glad it wasn't over the top i guess. it's just a bit weird he showed up after she thought he was dead the whole time?? that just shows how crazy and whirlwind he is ??? i dunno~
i'd say worth the time, especially if you like this mangaka, and BA girl leads! that was the highlight for me, was the ability with which she took no BS ;p
Haha, is it bad that I liked the one-shots better?
I mean, not that the main story was bad, not at all. The main story was definitely cute, a little cliche, but overall was very refreshing. Especially the female lead. The humor was often exaggerated, but that just makes the story that more funny. Nothing life-changing, but definitely worth the read.
What I really liked though, were the one-shots. I love Takagi Shigeyoshi's style in her one-shots. Similar to her other one-shot works, like Ningyo ga Fuchi, Anya Kouro and Akuma ni Itsukushimi no Te o , they both had a melancholic atmosphere, and tragic characters, but at the same time, a touch of positive light and even humour.
it was so fun!! the story was a lot similar to [m]Higurashi Love Dollar[/m], but this was wayyyyyyyyyy better! the story was yeah sure.. overused.. the business prodigy taking you away with him.. but the characters are really lovable and the length is really appropriate! and you can see that the mangaka didnt milk it for all its worth.. which is awesome! xD and the art is really clean! i like it!
The story wasn't anything really new. It was nicely done though. The main characters, Rin and Riko, were lovable and endearing. Riko's struggle to be a normal school girl was often an element of comedy. Rin's actions were sometimes outrageous. The assassin was a bit bumbling at first appearance, but turned out to be useful in the end. Rin's body guards were a bit strange. It wasn't a complex storyline, but it had enough meat to make a good read. The two short stories weren't bad, but not as good as the main story. The short story in the 1st volume was better than the 2nd one. a nice read, worth the time.
I must say, Ran-kko is terribly endearing. 8 v8 Ahhh, he's absolutely ideal~ If he had a cliche kind-considerate-cool princely personality I would only like this manga a fraction as much. His antics are really amusing--like the strawberry syrup and his amount of bodyguards lurking in the festival~ His childishness and selfishness is adorable. His attitude towards life, towards making memories is absolutely beautiful. ( > u<)b
Riko-chi is charming. A tad boring and very cliche, but a classic, ne? She's strong outside, but simply wants to live normally. Her insistence upon every introduction that she's normal is hilarious~ (Plus the bald guy's comments, lololol.)
I adore the art. The elegance in Rikon's movements is lovely, though her face is plain. Ran-kko's illustration suits him very well.
The first volume is volumes better than the second. The side stories are interesting. I really recommend it. ( * U*)b
Ah, the main-story and the oneshots were actually kind of nice. Simple storylines (though at times, a bit silly) and acceptable art. Not anything deep really, but reading this will keep you entertained.
Soooo full of cliches, but yet I really liked it. I've got a few nits to pick, though. Ran looks like a girl with his somewhat large eyes, girly profile, and his hairstyle. Not even in a shoujo way, but in a "is-this-two-chicks-kissing-yuri", not that theres anything wrong with that. But I love him, his design, and the art just the same. The cliche of sudden appearance of a billionaire heir and a sudden marriage proposal is also done pretty OK. They had a history, which surprisingly she remembered ASAP. Riko is "extraordinary" but I'm glad that she's a strong girl who's just like "no, F you, man." The antics get ridiculous but its a fun and cute read.
I loved it so much! I read it on a whim in one sitting and fell in love with the characters and plot! I rated it a 10 and reccomend it to everyone. It was funny, clever and the make-you-sigh kind of sweet. My only regret is that it ended too quickly!
