Favorite Japanese songs

I rather hate J-Pop/J-Rock, except for some anime íntros/outros that are too catchy to dislike, but I love the music from the Ghost in the Shell and Akira movies (I am still looking for more music from Geinoh Yamashirogumi but it is quite hard to find) that is based on classical Japanese/Asian music. I adore those traditional Shinto prayers and Buddhist chants. Gagaku, Taiko et cetera are to my liking as well.
Furthermore I like most of the songs from the Ghibli Studio movies' soundtracks, some pieces from the Jin-Roh movie soundtrack and the entire Berserk soundtrack.

I listen to just about anything... <_< Latest thing though is about all of the Galneryus soundtracks and the song "Sweetest Coma Again" by Luna Sea as well as the Abingdon Boys School version...
In the future i'll try and get The opening to Soul Eater by T.M. Revolution and Maybe some Songs by Thyme.

This topic feels... a little repetitive? Everyone's talking about songs.
For the record, at the moment - Soba ni Iru ne by Aoyama Thelma feat. Soulja. Just like every Japanese person at the moment... =P

That is why I brought up the band Envy. Great Japcore music.
My favorite Japanese band is Jane the Ripper though.

No, I meant songs, as in plural. Bands aren't even the topic of this thread!

I just picked up an Envy album, and I really dig Night in Winter.
There is the post I made, and I mentioned a song. Furthermore, good albums are based on the album, not a single, which that album is.
I mentioned Jane the Ripper. They are an unsigned band out of Osaka. I like a song called Red Cadillac that they do.
Also, I Walk Like Jayne Mansfield by the 5, 6, 7, 8s

Alone by Hitomi.
The only word to describe this is celestial.
I have plenty of other "favorites" but this is the only one I could refer to as "the favorite."

I guess you can hi-jack someones idea, but you'll never understand their plan for its success.

I like Tackey & Tsubasa's Ai Check it! It just sounds amusing. Of course, I don't understand a word of it, but know that "ai" means "love".
Listening to Japanese songs is different because I don't understand it. I don't listen to the lyrics and pay more attention to the sounds that come up.
