I think I was probably adopted 😐

I'm sooo different from everyone else in my family it's almost unreal.

I don't see myself having a family, so I don't really know how to answer..... but if someone came to me and told me to adopt a homeless kid, I probably would at least foster him/her for a while.

I don't see any meaning to get a kid for anything else
but for continuing the bloodline.

No, I don't think I'll ever adopt either. It sounds selfish but I'd like to raise my **own **children...

And no, I don't think I'll put my child for adoption. The only case where I might consider it is if ever I find myself in financial straits to the point of not being able to provide the basic needs of my child....(must be a very extreme situation) I don't see that happening though as I have a lot of relatives who'd try their best to help me.

I would adopt, but, I wouldn't give my child up for adoption unless there were extreme circumstances behind it. This is because foster care can really fail, there are foster homes that try, some that don't care, some are good, however, there are still far too many which are bad.

This is also the main reason why I support gay adoption.

Just to clarify, in the US -

Infants placed for adoption at birth are rarely in foster care, unless something goes terribly wrong - generally the adoptive parents are selected well before the baby's born, and the baby goes home from the hospital with the adoptive parents. Often the birth mom (& dad, if he's around) have the option to choose the adoptive parents, meet them, and keep some (usually limited) contact after the adoption.

Infants & kids in foster care are there because of problems in the home. In general kids are in foster care for months to years (depending on the situation & the state laws) while their parents have a chance to "get their act together". After a period of time the kids are either sent home (reunified), or they look for another permanent situation (often guardianship or adoption by the foster family, another family, or a relative).

I would definitely adopt, but only once I had my own spawn running around, or once I found out I'd never see that day. Giving kids up? Never.

I would adopt, but not give up my child. Why would I give up my own child? That's ridiculous in my opinion. I don't see anything wrong with adopting either.

I would adopt most likely. Either a real small baby or a 5-9 kid from an adoption center. I wouldn't give up to a foster home etc, but I'd give up for adoption if it was a couple looking specifically for a baby etcetc. Otherwise I'd prolly abort.

Well - it's been a long road - but everything's worked out & I'm signing the final adoption papers for my foster son next week. 😀

He was 7 months old when he was first placed with me, and now he's over 3 years old...unfortunately that seems to just be how long it takes w/the US foster system.

I don't really like kids but I wouldn't give up my baby. nd I'd adopt but I probably won't cause I don't really like kids.. D:

I'm not much of a kid person but if I have any kids I wouldn't put them up for adoption. Unless there are some circumstances, I won't adopt but I'm open to the idea.

My uncle was adopted but I never really saw it as different... My friend was adopted which was funny cause he's the only red head in his family. XD

Personally I love kids and if I couldn't have my own I'd adopt. I'd actually love to adopt a little girl from China some day! As well I've told my friends that if they get knocked up I'd adopt their kid. Abortion isn't my thing and I feel that how could I not support adoption if I don't believe in abortion? Some people can't take care of their kids, but abortion shouldn't be an option.

(Don't bother arguing with me about the abortion thing, it's an opinion)

Well. If I was raped, then I would lean to giving up my child... but probably not... there are so many circumstances and situations that could make me and not make me give up a child.

But... I don't plan on getting pregnant. And for my personal safety, I'm wanting to buy mace and something like this.

In the future, I totally plan to adopt. There are so many kids out there who deserve to have loving parents that they couldn't have had before.

Anyways, yeah I'd adopt and the girl I was with would have to be cool with it. There's alot of young kids out there living in group homes and the like, they all deserve a chance at happiness.

Oh yeah, could never give my own kid away. I would just do my best to "buckle down" whatever the situation may be and raise it the best I could.
