Worst SHOUNEN Cliche

Ahh~ There so many to list from. (& most of 'em are prob. been said already, above)
Horrible SHOUNEN cliche would be like the time when:
"come to the darkside" - we got candies, no really. w/e character that may be ended up going to the villain's side b/c its the only option
the emo best friend becomes a villain & is somewhat thinking of his actions is right or not. - the protagonist always have to face off w/ his or her best friend & try to make the best friend to come back to 'em.
You see plently of that.
**taken angry/frustration out on others, BLAMING on others. **Things doesnt work out right in life, someone in family/friend got killed & protagonist was there but wasn't able to do anything at that time BUT then somehow the protagonist gets the blame for it. WTF?
the guy likes girl but girl doesnt & the guy does everything he can to get the girl's attention & when he finally does its b/c hes a super hero/unique/ or w/e the reason is.
Mysterious quiet cool kind of person w/ a dark past. - are usually the one out for revenge. Typical.
Misunderstanding! whether its b/c lack of communication or what, it drives me nuts. Others get mad at the certain person b/c he or she thought the person is the cause of it.
Risking your life for an enemy or stranger. Wow, 😲 gotta say, thats one super hero. Justice!
Super killing machine w/ no heart - ends up having a heart or mind of its own. & usually knows that the he or she is at fault so thinks only way is SUCIDE.
Protagonist are usually good guys. - they usually win.
Most of time, he or she wants to protect their love ones.
Happy ever after - Horray, the world is save. No need for violence no more.
Fight the mini boss to get to the bigger boss. - Ooo, minions first than its mini boss and than the final boss.
"You are the ONLY one that can save the world/him/her" - Why? Some sort of a messiah? So special, ne.
"Forgive me" - Villains dies & then relaizes what she or he did wrong was a mistake and theres no turning back. Of course.
Sibling/Family complex - Ahh~ get over it already. Dote 'em so much the person gets spoil or the person w/ the complex is overprotective.
**Overprotective **- Hide a secret b/c doesnt want the love ones to know until its a lil' late after it happens. Pfftt.typical.
a girl so pretty beyond words.. - everyone admires her from a distant & thats its not possible for the protagonist to be w/ her but somehow he does (or vice versa)
Irrational or Over confident - doesnt think before he or she acts, got too cocky.
Emotion-less person - ends up does have 'em, feelings.
**Minions ** - attacking the protagonist or semi-characters. Damn, so many followers. They must either be so devoted to their master or the pay is good or they have nothing better to do or repaying their debt w/ their life.
Coloring – bad guys are darker colored w/ their clothing. Heroes are lighter color.
Power is everything – to overcome your opponent you must have either physical strength or social standing.
Jealously – becomes nasty, the person gets jealous ends up being the bad guy. Or protagonist sees his or her too weak of ‘em self ends up wanting to become better than his or her rival.
Getting hurt.. gets their butt kick pretty bad but survive from a major deadly blow. Such will power!
Transformation.– a sore loser evolves into hot looking person w/ overwhelming physical power but then changes back after incident is over but doesn’t remember what she or he just do.
I know there’s a lot more, although I can go on and on and on..

What about the one which goes, As long as there is something worth fighting for i can keep fighting. [b], for example some of the fights in Hajime no Ippo and especially DBZ where its with almost every single enemy they fight.
Almost as annoying as people saying "hella".

I hate it in sports shounen anime/manga when the main guy is ALWAYS short. Examples: crossover, eyeshield 21, fight no akatsuki, PoT, Dogashi kaden, Ahiru no Sora. They should grow shouldn't they? Most of the time, they're like 15 at the beginning, but don't grow an centimeter! what's with that.

this list goes on and on....
10 year old kids beating 40 year old adults at their own game
- choke choke naruto choke
with friendship, you can do anything!
- i hate the whole friendship thing *choke choke...yu-gi-oh
overly, extremely nice and innocent cute japanese girl
- there is no one in the world like that, only innocent babies!
the power of love
- i hate the power of love....it ALWAYS beats everything
[b]one day i`ll be ______ [ fill in the blank ]
- the next hokage or the king of the pirate [ don`t get me wrong...i love one piece ]
the girls boyfriend
s family problems
- have you realize that in romance or shouen manga, the boy always hates his family and has problems?
trying to gain more and more power
- i hate i when the villian`s purpose is to gain power...nothing else...and its only cool when the villian is a total badass
the emo kid who doesnt care about anything, gets beat up, then becomes a total wussy.
- just stay cool [ example: gaara ]
....i`ll probably think of more later (:

@Erotic Devil, paradisekiss: It seems you hate shounen 😲
I hate shounen when protagonist always win over antagonists (example: Flame of Recca, Marchen Awaken Romance,...), fighting non-stop. The antagonists' pasts is not persuative, and the idea about "save the world" and "destroy the world" is way too familiar, I fed up with those.

When the author provides a wimpy love interest for the protagonist. That's just not cool.

Wow. So...You pretty much hate reading manga huh? ^^
I mean, if you take away most of those things what are you left with? Almost all of those are used in a manga not because they are seen as a successful cliche, but because they are seen as something that can form conflict. And as human beings, we enjoy reading about conflict.
Take all of them away, and you're left with something that isn't interesting at all. Like...um...xxx holic? 😀
There is one think that I keep thinking when read some of shounen manga..WHERE THE HELL IS THE PARENTS 😕 I always see a romance manga and the progatonist always lived alone in apartment room..

In Japan it's completly normal to have children leave the house at the age of 10-12 in order to fulfill their own destinies. By that time they also: Have a pet dog, have their own job, and have gotten laid at least twice.
Get with the program, jeez.

A character get's his ass handed to him in a fight by an ultra-powerful villain, and, of course, the character survives and then trains for a couple of days and comes back equaling in strength to the villain who just kicked his ass.
I've read just about everyone's post and noticed that Bleach seems to have EVERY single shounen cliche in it. So why is it so damn popular?

It is because Bleach have EVERY single shounen cliche in it. After all, Bleach is serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump. So of course they will look for manga with lots of shounen cliche in it.
Hmm, for harems its obvious, younger sister type/loli, smart girl and tomboyish/sporty girl (sometimes with short hair) are all there. sometimes the first and the third are mixed together.
in normal shounen, bad guys keep coming and coming trying to challenge main guy for obvious reasons or rather reasons we(I) dont understand, EVERYONE fixates on main guy! Its irritating when I dont like the main character that much like in Bleach but in others like HunterxHunter and Naruto, its fine.

Ditto, its funny when adults write mangas like these. Did they hate their parents? And sometimes, its like parents opinions are counted last....
