Have you guys read a book called "How Not To Draw Manga"? It pretty much spells out that every popular manga has the same underlying cliches and that any deviation will spell out certain disaster for the success of the manga in question. That's probably why we love manga so much. We can read a story, then read the same story again with a new setting and characters and love it as much as the first time. This comment is not to detract from manga or offend anyone (of course), but just a quick look under the rug. After all, one of the greatest writers in the world (Shakespear) wrote nothing but volume after volume of cliches into the greatest plays the world has ever seen.

So to say that any plot device would be cliche is a bit redundant. Anything that happens has happened before in countless other manga, but we're going to love it anyways. Yay, Manga, you always give me exactly what I want!

Before I get flamed....This is a quick generalization and of course there are exceptions!

no no i retract that last part about :

the hollow. he will get taken over! i forgot how the Japanese like to do things. when he finally comes to his senses it will be because of a naked spiritual scene where inoue comes from the world beyond to comfort him. BAM! oh and inoue will show up again by the end of the show or in the last episode credits. as a shinigami or something

hows that?

LOL!! 🤣 now that you mention it, it could happen 🤣 then again i'm rooting for a ichigoxrukia or ichigoxtatsuki pair 😀 so im not all up for the idea 😀

thats nothing to be worried to be flamed about, pretty much true. I think alot of series deviate a little, but that helps keep it fresh. And with as many genre's as there are of manga out there, they usually just get described as a "shounen-ish shoujo" or "shoujo with a hint of seinen drama in it."

theres so many mangas out there, that everything has to be a cliche of something else by now

Many of you think she'll die -it would be interesting! The problem is, that kubo tite hasn't killed any of his main characters before (not in bleach and not in zombie powder) and i'm not sure if he's capable to do something like that.

I wouldn't like to see ichigo and orihime together - she's just soooo stupid and naive...without her hairpins she's helpless. Ichigo won't be with Rukia ( human and shinigami, impossible) as long as he's alive.
Does any of you think that there are chances for Ichigo to die?

That was an exception. Still not explained fully.
(artificial bodies are fertile?how is it possible?all normal biological functions, but they still need that fuel Urahara is selling)

Besides, Ichiin left Soul Society. Can't imagine Rukia doing the same, especially when she's a part of Kuchiki family.

well..you could call this an exception as well since ichigo ain't completely human

about rukia leaving soul society...you got me, i can't find anything or anyway in her personality to actually do it 🤢

but ichigo could leave for soul society, be a full fledge shinigami...he'll make captain fore sure

but we could discuss this in another thread since this thread was originally meant for inoue

Ichigo x Inoue was bound to happen. it was kinda hinted at early in the series when the whole thing with her brother took place and then shown more as Rukia joined the class.

if u need more proof, just look at the reason why the whole arc started. girl gets threatened by bad guys, girl visits guy before going to bad guys hideout, guy finds out that girl left, guy drags friends to their potential doom to get girl back. ur typical action plot.

be that as it may, rukia also had ALMOST the same situation, girl gets threatened by bad guys(note that this was during the soul society arc), girl tries to leave, guy chases after girl, gets his butt handed to him, girl goes with bad guys to save the guy, guy drags friends to their potential doom to get girl back. same thing...almost. and there's also the kaien part which by coincidence or not looks and acts almost exactly like ichigo. kinda like yamato and kazuki in suzuka 😀

Yup, but there is a difference in the girls themselves. They have opposite characters and looks, not to mention their backgrounds. Ichigo had different motivation to go rescue them. And one more thing- Rukia was gratefull for help (well, after all that shouting that he shouldn't come), but for Orihime the situation is different - she's being saved by the one she loves. When she will have the opportunity, she'll probably confess to him again and they will save the world (sorry, a bunch of worlds) together. How predictable 🤨

The endings and openings in anime are mostly about Orihime. I liked the ones with Rukia a lot more.

And about Ichigos future...

but we could discuss this in another thread since this thread was originally meant for inoue

Good idea. Wanna start a new thread?

Anyone else notice that ichigo has recently started calling Inoue, "Inoue" instead of "Orihime" like how he used to?? could mean something... O.o?

I'm not too sure about the anime, but in the manga Ichigo has always addressed her as "Inoue". It's possible that Ichigo and Orihime would end up together in the end, but I don't think Ichigo likes her that way yet.

Isn't it sort of hinted that Ishida might like her?

Yes! Finally someone comes up with what I hoped for during the Soul Society arc. IchigoxRukia and IshidaxInoue. Of course, IshidaxRukia could also happen since that's mentioned in the manga - Shinigami and a quincy.

Oh, and Ichigo really isn't a human anymore. His chain was cut during his training with urahara.
