SCHOOL UNIFORMS! biggrin

In manga they are everywhere so I was wondering what people thought about them.

I wore one in highschool (Catholic School) but my year was the year they decided to do unisex uniforms.
Everyone wore pants and bye bye Kilts. It was sad. I wanted to wear the cute uniform. D:
Now in college I sometimes miss the easyness of just wearing a uniform and not having to think about getting dressed. I mean near the end of grade 12 I just didn't care what I wore on civies days. (Where we are allowed to wear normal clothes once a month)

I get so jealous of the girls in manga that wear those cute uniforms.

I LOVE boys in suits. So boys in private school suits=HOT.
I Like a Boy in Uniform biggrin

Here is my friend and her ex-boyfriend in our offensive uniform.

Aye I did, was basic stuff. Black suit pants with a white shirt. Tie and vest where optional.
I liked it as people from our school were easy to spot and it gave us all something to relate to.

Also no 1 felt superior/inferior from a clothes perspective and it was one thing less to worry about.

Not half bad imo.

In elementary at first it was navy blue pants, dress, or skirt, and a white polo shirt then like around 1st grade, we didn't have to wear uniforms. At 5th grade they implemented uniforms again: red polo shirt, and khaki pants. In middle school it was a plaid skirt, white polo shirt, and red sweater. Here, all up into high school you wear uniforms though some high schools do have the requirements of uniforms. Thank god I'm back to wearing my own clothes biggrin

Yeah we had school uniforms for primary and secondary education.

Sometimes they were just plain ass annoying, especially when the staff always try and make sure that the ties were put on correctly, or the shirts tucked in etc (although nobody did), but yeah, the nagging was annoying. We had to wear blazers too. A lot of the girls didn't like that and wore the jumper instead, leaving their blazers at home - results in detention. Yeah, uniforms gave out a lot of detentions.

The only good thing about them is the whole "equality" thing, and the problem of choosing an outfit everyday. It gets troublesome choosing different things to wear everyday after a while.
I don't wear a uniform anymore. Once you hit higher education (I.e a-levels), uniform is scrapped.

I can't say I miss it.

I did when I was younger. It was required for both public and private. We moved around a lot so I had many different colored skirts/patterns (pink, navy blue, hunter green, plaids, brown<--yes brown, what a weirdass color it was). Basically the same generic white blouse with whatever matching tie/blazer.

I liked it. I still have some of my skirts, they're all pleated and pretty-like. laugh

We just had to wear a black bottom and fair top with green jacket. And in last years of school there were no bounds.
I hated it. All that blouses were so uncomfortable. And I don't like skirts.

I used to have to wear uniform everyday when I was in Jr high and high school. Navy blue and white... @_@ all the time.
It's not that i hate the colour or anything but the materials will make u feel really hot in summer... oh yes... and body odour... @_@ we all smell very bad because of those uniforms...

In elementary school, we were required to. In high school, I went to a private school and wore a plaid skirt, a blouse, and red or blue cardigan (though you could wear pants, I just chose not to). It was pretty awesome because I didn't have to worry about what I was going to wear, lol.

Unless you count those camouflage hunting jackets and their hideous orange accessories as a uniform, then no.

when I still lived in China I didn't have to wear uniforms in elementary school, but most likely in high school and middle school.

now I don't have to wear uniforms and I'm happy.

I don't have to wear a school uniform, and I like it.
The only fuss is trying to find clean clothes all the time.

I wore a uniform in high school. Black dress shoes, black pants, white shirt, and a sweater/cardigan/vest.

I think one thing different between my school and manga schools is that everyone was so concern in bending the dress code to stand out. There were groups that wore baggy pants, girls would wear striped stockings, guys who wore white running shoes instead of black dress shoes. Teachers and the girls had a war because the girls were wearing extremely short kilts. (which the school ended up scraping and now they wear extremely tight dress pants)

I wore uniform all K-12.
My high school was the only school in the city to have a uniform code. I didn't like it but without a uniform code now I see that it was so much easier to have one. I don't own a lot of clothes. And I repeat outfits at least twice a week; with a uniform code, no one can tell I wore the same shirt yesterday. biggrin
