Well, as you probably already know, the gaming sub-culture was always tightly related to the anime/manga cultures (specially in Asia). I'm not saying that every anime/manga -fan is a gamer. But probably a lot of us do play a lot of video games. I know I do!
Actually I started more as a gamer, and through some friends, I got got in the anime wave and from there to the manga one.

**3.**What consoles do you own?
**4.**What new generation console will/have you bought?

I'll start by answer myself then:
**1.**Of course I'm a proud gamer!
**2.**I prefer the PC but my computer can't keep up 🙁
I do play on consoles a lot though.
**3.**My only functional console right now is the PS2 🙁
**4.**I wish to buy a PS3... (FFXIII and MGS4!!) but I'd have to chose between that or college lol...
the Wii feels to much like a weird gadget and like an insult to a serious gamer like me...
and the X-box 360... over my dead body!

1. Yes
2. Mainly console but I've played some PC games (Starcraft, Diablo II, Warcraft III, Counter-Strike) for thousands of hours...
3. Currently: PS3, 360, Wii, DS Lite, PSP, and PC -- my backlog goes back to Atari 2600 when I was like 3-5 years of age.
4. I'll have a PS3 after a price drop or two, but possibly when I get an HDTV in my room. Maybe even a 360, too.

4. Not planning on it, but I have to admit I came really close to buying a Wii, and that's saying a lot coming from an anti-console guy like me. It just was so different that I almost went and bought one.

2. mostly pc (emulators ^^) sometimes console

lol, used to own one of those... now it's totally busted! I was actually (and still is) one of Sega's biggest fans!

I played WOW for a while, I really wanted to try an MMORPG (I mean what kind of great gamer would I be if I didn't at least try all the genres right?)
I choose WOW because of Warcraft III was such a great game, and me and Blizzard go way back... (Warcraft 2, starcraft, diablo)
But seriously, that thing eats WAY too much TIME!! While I was still playing it, it was the only game I played and hardly had enough time to read my weekly manga releases!
So I just droped it as soon as I got to 60... I'm no one game man!

Thankfully I've been able to avoid that game so far. All of my friends play it and I've had the toughest peer pressure on the planet, but I've stayed away. Evil, evil game.

Yeah that's a really evil game! It had some kind of spell on you... actally I found quitting smoking easier than quitting that game!
And now with the news of the release of the expension I'm getting tempted again...

lol. It IS kinda addictive. But my anime and mangas have higher priority! 😀 so sometimes..i take a week or so off...though its wasting my money >_> Its just how high your resistance to addiction is 😀

2. PC, i never really considerd consoles serious things
3. i use to have a super nintendo 2 years ago, and i have a sega mega drive somewhere in my parents attic
4. i can't believe how much those new console cost, plus the games are way to fu@king expensiv. Would never buy one.

Last games i played would be Dawn of War and Battlefield 2. When i was younger and when i had that supernintendo Street Fighter was the game of choice, but that was also the only fighting game i ever played.
I did some tabletop gaming and a really litlle bit of roleplaying. Hate WoW, i can't stand that super colorfull fantasy stuff.

1. Sure, I play games, but ever since I became an anime fan I really toned down on playing them. I mostly play multiplayer games now, singleplayer just don't turn me on anymore like it used to.

2. PC. Consoles are expensive. And I don't mean the consoles themselves, but the games. PC games in Russia are really cheap (we get licensed releases for 10 to 20 bucks).

3/4. Don't own them. I had a PS1 many years ago, those were fun days. I'd like to have a PS3, but that is only possible with more money and much more free time.
