This exact poll was done over 5 years ago. With all the next-gen consoles released now, I felt it was time to bring this one back. Previously, PS3 won by a mere 4 votes (over the Wii). How will things fare this time? In the comments, feel free to list why you like each console and your favorite games for them. Me, I'm a PC gamer... My family's only owned Nintendo products, as I have many siblings (multiplayer components were huge factors in buying console games for the family). But man, I do want those other consoles for those juicy exclusives...

Excluding the 1000+ option, it's a pretty nice curve! I'm somewhere in the 100-300 range probably.

I didn't own any consoles.

My only experience with console game was when I visited my cousin (PS1) and it was really really long time ago. For most part, I play PC games or use emulator.

No handhelds? I DID have a Famicom when I was just a child but mostly I only had handheld consoles. GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS, PSP. I played everything else on my desktop/laptop. And I also think there should be a "Didn't have any/didn't have interest" option

Yeah, I get it's meant to re-do the old vote.
But I really can't choose between Wii and PS3. I can only safely say the Xbox 360 has less than 5 platform exclusive games that would interest me.

PS3. Better multiplayer, better exclusives (in my opinion).

Favourite game: Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen; Dark Souls and Demon's Souls were good as well.

I mainly use my PS3 nowadays to stream full hd mkv anime from my pc to my tv.

I would love to have and play Wii than PS3 ^_^

Kinda hard to choice since I Have both PS3 and 360 (also 3DS and DSL which is not there), but I will chose PS3 since I have Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Sengoku Basara games there 🙂

I have all 3 but I chose Xbox 360. I always chose the Xbox 360 version of whatever game released on multiple consoles. I guess I like the controller the most for the Xbox 360 because I have large hands and it just feels more comfortable to use. My favorite games would probably have to be the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series.

This is one of those polls where indifference doesn't really add any worthwhile statistics (since it's seeing which console is more popular out of the 3). Just don't vote if you don't have an opinion.

I don't own a console personally, but have played on friends'. From what I see, PS3 has better console exclusive games, but 360 has better multiplayer... I prefer PC for multiplayer, so PS3 for me.

PC-only (and a hell of a lot of hours on 2 PSPs I've owned since 2005- jailbroken of course..). I've played on other peoples PS3s and Xbawks 360s, but wasn't hugely impressed (although I DO like the Xbox controller - I use one on my PC for the few action & shooter games I play).

Back in the days i have atari,nes,genesis,snes,ps1 to ps2. when PC became famous in my country new generation Game Consoles became almost extinct because of high price of games and the console itself and no support in my country,but i go with PS3 from the games i seen in the net and maybe someday i can get to play it(emulator?).

I own all three consoles, but I mainly play the 360 because I like the controller better and I have Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, Dark Souls, and Fallout 3 on it.
