I wanna get into a good shoujo ai and/or Yuri, but all the ones I'm finding have these girly girly girls that I really can't stand. I want both characters to be dominant, or least take turns at it. I don't want a character who thinks looking cute is important unless it's a facade. I don't really like it if either character uses make-up, but as long as they've got a strong attitude and take a dominant side, I can be alright. They don't have to look like a boy, though I do like those types of characters. They can look pretty, as long as they aren't wimpy..... and so on.

So do you have any suggestions for me? Please!

Hmm...

Marriage Black, both girls are Yakuza heirs. Only one chapter scanlated though, and it'll be a slow one for release.

Bakuretsu Tenshi (Burst Angels) manga. Sorta.

Probably a few more options in the Josei genre, which generally take a mature look at lesbianism, rather than the "schoolgirls in love".

Edit: Shitsurakuen could work too...but the rest of the story premise might turn you off.

I can't help but recommend Pieta since that is one of the shoujo ai titles that made me like the genre. The art style isn't the best (I like it 'cause I think it suits the atmosphere of the story). One of the characters is a tomboy, the other one is little more feminine, but I wouldn't characterize either characters as "wimpy."
