What lies have your parents told you as a child?
- when your nose itches, that means
someone will come visit you soon~ - if you burp too much, you're gonna need
surgery on your stomach later in life~
and much more! Such evil people adults are. ;-;

When we went to this theme park in Japan (I was 8 at the time), my mom wouldn't let me get those stamp things that allow you to go back in the park after you leave. She told me that you get cancer from it - -'' sad thing is, she still tells me that. 😐
If your ears burn, someone is saying bad things about you.
The tooth fairy 🤣 that one was always fun.
If you write on your hands you'll get cancer really quick.
I don't resent them for it. I'll probably end up doing the same anyway. When I look back, I find it funny how I actually believed them XD

That if I flipped my eye-lids over they'd stick like that... I still do that from time to time so I'm a bit ashamed...
Reading in low light will ruin your eyes. Actually, that might be true. Doesn't stop me from doing it though.

I was really young, and I asked my dad if humans could have (give birth to) different animals. I knew nothing about sex/chromosones/anyofthatstuff. He told me that people could, and he said that a woman once gave birth to a fish! 🤣
I was so shocked! And I bragged to all of my friends about knowing stuff like that too! Its probably been about 10 years since that happened 🤣

My parents told me the basic things most parents lie about, certain things you must not do like make faces or swear at people. My mother also likes to lie about our family relations with uncles and aunts etc, getting me to support her. Then as I got older I learned to ignore those comments as I knew I could make an informed decision myself. I also believed that my sister wasn't my sister till I was about 6, she was 13years older than me so I always thought she was a caretaker.
Do not feed the trolls

Oh I just remembered a classic one my mum did.
She lied about her age. All the time. Kept on saying she was 21. I was thinking something was suspicious, then when my sister hit 21, It finally hit home and my mum could no longer pretend 🤣
Haha I still remember that day XD

As a child, everything an adult said was a lie.
Still is.
I have trust issues because of this, so yes.
I still resent them for it! ;-;

When I was little, I managed to get about 100$ (not sure, but it doesn't matter) saved.
One day- the money mysteriously disappeared.
My mother told me that it was my grandmother (HER OWN mother) who took it.
I decided to act and stole some money from her as a revenge.
Needless to say, I got caught and scolded.
Years later I found out it was my mother who took it and lied about it.
She felt no regret.
I don't remember my parents lying to me much.
They mostly relied on the not answering method.
Like when I asked what impotence was.
Or inquired about that box of condoms.
Not that I asked many embarrassing questions.
Though I found out everything I needed to know by myself.
Every little dirty detail they wouldn't have dreamt of their cute little daughter knowing. 🙂
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

Quote from Raeryn
My parents rarely lied to us kids, and when they did it was usually little white ones where presents were concerned. I guess they wanted to have us learn by example.
My grandfather is another story though. We still laugh about some of the things he told us when we were little.
This.
Why resent something that caused no harm, and heck it even made me happier.
-Eating watermelon seeds will lead to watermelons growing inside of you. I believed it...>.<
-Eating too much fish will make you grow gills. At that time I thought that would actually be cool, so I still ate a lot of fish. O_O I hate fish now.
-To not eat glue because one day I'll never be able to talk again. D: This one scared the crap out of me...
-Writing on yourself...same thing as tactics. This one also scared me because every time I'd come home with marker or pen ink on my skin I'd spend hours trying to get it off...;A;
-I had this habit of always chewing on my toys, so my mother once told me that if I chewed on them too much they'd come to life and chew on me instead (as revenge). .__.
And then there's all those pets that supposedly ran away...<.<
Lol, now that I think about it...these were all for my own good. XD :3

I have to thank you again. It's been a while since I've had this much d**k on my computer. :'3
Don't stretch your face or it will
stay like that. Can't remember else.
We learned by force, but it's not like
my siblings or I even did anything unwanted
that much.

That if I did whatever it is the wanted me to do, they will give me [insert awesome food or toy here]. False bribery I guess 🙁
