I have very bad problems with teachers at school mispronouncing my surname. Basically, I've completely given up on them, but hope that the person who announces names at graduation this year can say it right. OR ELSE!!! It's gotten to the point where one of my friends jokingly told me to change my name.

Oh don't hope for that. When something can go wrong, it always goes wrong.
I also have problems with my surname, there is a Dutch and a German version of it which only differ in 1 letter. And the German's just don't get it right, even on important documents. It's always such a hassle if you have to send something back because the name's spelt wrong.
