In which a character digs their own grave

I'm looking for a manga in which gradually digs their own grave/makes a huge mess and must jump in it at the end. It doesn't have to be a finished manga or the main character, but someone signifigant would be nice.
ie.
Lelouch ends up getting euphemia, shirley, rolo and many others killed, he gets killed in the end as part of his plan to fix the world
Raito uses the notebook and deceives everyone,
in the end he is betrayed by Ryuk
Do they really have to die at the end? Or just that their actions caused something really bad to happen? Since some of my recommendations are based on the latter interpretation.
School Days - hey someone's gonna say it sooner or later... 🤣
Monster also somewhat fits
Gankutsuo
Tsukihime
Casshern Sins(anime) seems like the type...
Jigoku Shoujo

Eh, no, but like metaphoric death or literal death to themselves is prefered (a lot of metaphoric deathes lead to literal deaths), an example of metaphoric death...umm...it's really not concrete but Fai losing his eye and magic in Tsubasa would kind of be an example (but Fai's situation was for a large part, the fault of circumstance and not himself).
I tried reading school days but the extreme shoujoness compelled me to not read beyond the 1st chapter, is it really that good? or just the boat ending?
Tsukihime and monster looking interesting, so I'll definately try those.
Btw, I've read (almost) everything by Kaori Yuki, Petshop of Horrors and Vampire Knight already...
Thanks for the responses XD
Well, you could go for the anime, it's more shounen, harem. Also I really recommend Gankutsuo for people digging their own graves. It's an anime adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo.
You could also try Rabbit Doubt.

Himizu is populated with nothing but people who dig their own grave and then fill it in themselves.

Amazing manga that completely fits the theme.
