Yes.

In that the Japanese have very problematic terms like "okama", which can translate to either "gay" OR "transvestite", which I find extremely off-putting.

In that many of the BL/GL mangaka/authors have a poor understanding of realistic homosexual relationships and queer concepts, and an even poorer understanding of transgender identity.

That the ubiquity of apology rape in BL is gross.

However, I find nichome as depicted in BL/GL manga intriguing, though I know it's not a place where people can make good memories.
The abundance of fudanshi in Japan compared to the rest of the world is intriguing.

It's very difficult to find BL worth reading, seriously. I spent the entire past two days doing that, though...
BL/slash is my life.
I am pansexual.
I am extremely heteronormaphobic.

I did use "that's so gay", "for lack of a better expression" (or so I thought) as a child, but I've always been queer myself, it just took longer to understand it as well as I did today. (Pansexual wasn't a term back then, really)
