Okay, after doing nothing all summer, I'm reeeeaaally bored. And I haven't been studying my Japanese as I should. I have taken 5 1/2 years of Japanese, last year being AP Japanese. So I can read a good deal of kanji, even if I don't recognize one, it doesn't take long for me to look it up. I've already translated one chapter of series and posted it online for my own enjoyment. And it was kinda fun doing so. So I'd like to keep this up, but I have no idea what to translate. I only want to translate series that I like. If I don't like the series, I will have no motivation to translate it. Sooooo, if anyone is starting scans up for a new series or one even one that isn't so new, let me check it out, and if I like it, I'll help translate!!

types of series I like...

Romance is a definite factor, I'm a hopeless romantic and can't do anything without it. It doesn't have to be Shojo though.

supernatural or fantasy genres are a plus. Comedy is also a plus. I'm also willing to translate smuts or the like if it is interesting.

If it's good enough, I might even do a shounen.

Types of series I hate...

Overly cute manga, or whiny/crybaby female characters. Tragedy, horror, psychological..... anything like that, I can't stand and will lose interest quickly.

If you feel the need to test me, I'll take it. I'm willing to work with multiple scanlation groups on multiple projects.

I am more interested in series where romance is the focal point, but I do like some shounen too, though I am picky about it. For now, lets just do manga with romance as the main factor.

Um, you do know that those 5 1/2 years amounts to only the first 2 years of college, right? Should still be enough for a lot of manga, though.

You should post on MangaHelpers, there's much more of a scanlation community there that will be willing to recruit you.
