Quote from Gediminas
The moment they realise their fate is all about giving birth to children, raising them and making dinner. Old-fashioned, but true.
When they make my dinner, they can be wimmen.

personally, i started calling my classmates "peiple" instead of "kids" at 13.
but i guess it depends more on looks and behavior >_> ppl took me as "woman" ever since i was about 14 i guess, but i know girls who were still "girls" in mid twenties.

Doesn't really have to do with age for me. I generally refer to females I know personally as girls and strangers as women or ladies.

LOL nice one 😛
i'd say round about late 20s to early 30s, that is when it feels appropriate to call girls women/ladies

I seldom use the term woman to describe a female. Either I use something more respectful like lady or girl, or I use a far less respectful description related to female dogs or genitals. For the ladies, I'd say late twenties.

We call 18 to 21 girls young women.
I mean, that's the age where they go out of the house and do whatever the hell they want.

Hmm, I agree with many comments here, I do tend to call females younger than me girls and boys as far as kids 😀 and those older or my age as women but actually I address other 'women' as 'lady' or 'girl' in person depending on familairity/age/ etc etc and 'female' in reference.
Personally I think the term 'woman'/'women' is very relative. Physically females do mature earlier but mentally they might be girls for a longer time. You never know it until u reach that age. I am in my mid twenties now, but when I was a teenager I used to think those in mid twenties are oh-so-mature and womanly (even "eww! so old!"), and now that I am that age, I cant help thinking, I still need to grow up some more 😀 😛 ...esp since I am posting in this forum with primarily teenagers around, no offense to anyone!! 😀

I eternally refer to all females (including myself) as "that chick." (Unless they're in elementary school. Then they're "That adorible little girl.") I don't really know why, and I know it can be pretty demeaning, but that's the way my brain somehow got wired.
