I'm really freaking lazy. It takes too much time and then since I'm so thin I can see me being useless the rest of the day.

I don't think I can donate though since I take allergy pills.

I tried to donate today at school. I passed the iron test.. but then... my blood clotted and it wouldn't come out. She said at first it was only coming out a little, but then it stopped... sigh I'll try again, with hope. Though first I will take some blood tests at the doctor. I want to help save lives ;-;

No, I have a terrible case of needle-phobia 😛 ; whenever I need to have my blood drawn for some medical reason (which fortunately is not very often) tears start flowing superfluously before they've even taken the needle out, and I just can't stop it; so, donating blood would be like torture to me.

I'm to tiny to donate. Most places you have to be at least 100lbs and I just pass 90lb. But I've always wanted to. Maybe on day. ^.^

@Dissidence: what is your sig from? I can't stop staring at it. @.@

I tried to donate a couple months ago but my iron was waaaaay too low. 😔

I've been trying to take my iron pills regularly since then...it's been years & years since they let me give blood. 🤢

I donate once a year. Have been doing so since I was 18 so I've donated 4 times so far. I'm healty and not scared of the needle and if my blood can help save someone then I don't really see any reason not to. It only takes about an hour and you get free tasty food and candy xD
Apparently I always turn really pale after it's done. I've never really felt any differently tho but everytime I go to donate they tell me the same thing so they always keep me lying down another 15-30mins afterwards but I guess it's better to be sure I'm ok instead of passing out while driving.

Nope, I'm on lifelong meds and that stuff is all in my blood-stream.

I gave blood for the first time a few months ago. (Finally reached the age requirement.)

I was the strange girl who stared as the needle went into my arm. :'D

I donate all the time. I'm not scared of the needle. I am one tough woman, I laugh in the face of the needle...lol. When I was younger I would get really sick all the time, so the doctor would have to do a blood test everytime, just so they could find out what was wrong with me, so I am very use to it now, I just can't watch them do it, cuz it is gross. Now I am healthy as a horse, and donate to anyone in need. 😀

I've wanted to donate blood so many times...it's because, if I have an abundance of something people need, why shouldn't I give it away? Besides, I'm a blood type O.

Answer: Because I an totally scared of needles. Forget if I'm dying and I need an IV, just kill me now.
Maybe I'll get over it someday~ (hopefully)

I just remembered this, how weird that I haven't thought of it in years - when the blood drive happened in HS, the thought of giving blood creeped me out 100%. There was NO WAY I would have done it...well maybe to save someone's life in a desperate emergency, but that's about it! 🤣

A few years later in college, somehow it was no big deal. I have no idea what changed or why it changed, it just seemed ok instead of horrible, and I started donating pretty regularly. It was always easy for me - nice big surface veins, fill up the bag quickly, stop bleeding when I'm supposed to, never felt bad afterwards - but at some point my iron started being too low. 😔

Edit - I still hate getting shots though; that's much worse than giving blood. (_)

I would love to donate my blood and I tried to as soon as I was old enough but unfortunately I am not allowed to 😢
So I nag all the people around me to go and donate blood. If they are afraid or have no means of transportation I go with them and stay close to support them. I even do some related charity work and help out wherever I can

I used to donate back home fairly regularly, but my maximum is 3 times a year because I'm a vegetarian so need 4 months to recover the iron I lose. I was usually sick during one of those times, so could do it about twice a year. I'm not allowed to donate in Japan because I was living in Britain during the BSE outbreak. 😢
