Okay I made an account just so I could talk on this lol..

I recently got into the manga and started the anime with my sisters over a three day weekend they have and all we did was watch Kuroshitsuji.... And I really love the manga a lot, and was disappointed starting with the curry episode when they twisted it to make the "evil take over Meena" or whatever happened with that Curry...an occasional episode or two every once and awhile veering away from the manga's plot line is fine, and sometimes enjoyable but I thought that it was too much in Kuroshitsuji.
Especially in part II. I hated how maybe not technically but how Sebastian not only lies to Ciel, which is breaking the contract, but the rest of their friends lie to him as well. And Alois and Claude to be perfectly honest were just sort of disturbing for me. I feel like even though Sebastian does his bidding for him Ciel is a fighter and doesn't bend easily for others and he was undone just too easily and quickly to me. It's not just that Sebastian deserves to eat Ciel's soul, I agree that he is a demon and fairness doesn't really come into play, but it's part of the contract. Ciel knows this and has a strong sense of justice- they both made the terms of the contract and Ciel becoming a demon obviously goes against Ciel's part of the bargain. In the end they were both so cold and hateful and lost many of the characteristics that make them the characters that I love in the manga. That's just my opinion that was bubbling up and I had to get out there. 🙂

Also, I too, don't want it to just end with Sebastian eating Ciel's soul, and I'm sure it'll be more complex then that but I hope it doesn't end like it did in the anime in the manga. 😳

I totally agree with you about the contract thing. It happened in season one, too, when Sebastian just leaves Ciel because he's gone soft or something. No! Sebastian - the real Sebastian - would never leave Ciel because it goes against everything that Sebastian is. Likewise, he would NEVER lie to Ciel. Just . . . not okay.

And yes. In the anime, the battlefield becomes a little too close to even for team CielxSebastian and team Alois/Claude. The truth is, and it's made very clear in the manga, that nothing can beat Sebastian and Ciel. "Ciel's unwavering will and Sebastian's persistance" - these are qualities that bring them through anything and everything. If Alois had been in the manga, he would never have been able to take over Ciel's body. It just wouldn't have happened.

Even so. I find that the anime is still pretty damn enjoyable, because it really is an opportunity to explore possibilities, exploit the fandom, and twist Kuroshitsuji into something completely unrecognizable. And that's fun and entertaining, and at the end of the day, we're still able to come back to the real Kuroshituji, Kuroshitsuji the manga, where Ciel and Sebastian are still unstoppable, Alois is still just a name, and Sebastian still honors the contract he signed away his freedom for.

Out of the few (less than 200) anime I have watched that was one of the endings I honestly have no positive or negative opinions of. The ending was just..incomplete in my opinion. I mean okay, demon Ceil and servant Sebastian; alright. Though, not the best possible ending. Another season, good idea, but not if its set too far into the future. Maybe have Ceil set as candy for shotacons, or introduce a society of demons or something of the sort.Anything would suffice at this point. It just needs more.
The ending was just barely satisfying.

I agree with you completely and while I enjoy the anime because I really really do love the manga and just the whole series in general- I was pretty upset when I finished the anime mostly because like we've said all of the parts of the contract that were already broken & the fact that Ciel isn't as strong willed as he is in the manga which makes his character in a lot of ways in my opinion. Although I also think that they didn't make Ciel have very many emotions in the anime, and he was more distant. I think even though he fights it and usually over comes it there is a big part of Ciel Phantomhive that is a scared and damaged 13 year old boy, but he has more personality then I think he would ever like to admit 🙂

But I agree, I just see the anime and the ova's just different and more ways to experience the series, I just was pretty surprised with how it went and had to get it off my chest. I'm glad there are people who have similar views.
😀

I hated the ending. I feel so sorry for Sebastian. It feels for me that it is an uncompleted ending as we don't know what they are going to do for eternity. I guess it does make me want more. Somehow i just hate the idea of Ciel being a demon.

I agree with you too. I mean, it just didn't feel right to see Ciel all demonic and purely evil. I mean, I guess some could say that's what Sebastian deserves since he's always been hooked onto Ciel's soul, but because Sebastian is my favourite character, to see him have to suffer or not feel happy with how things ended after all his hard work burns the deep shit out of me. Like honestly, I felt like crying tears of sorrow for the poor guy, haha. ♥ All in all, in my opinion I didn't like the ending on the most part BECAUSE Sebastian wasn't happy. If he was happy, I could compensate with that. But no, he is not. I felt like kicking the deepest shit out of Ciel for the first couple of seconds when seeing Sebastian's stern, solid face. Then again, the way Ciel made Sebastian suffer like that was certainly a dramatic change from my perspective of season one ESPECIALLY because I haven't even touched onto the manga. It was intriguing to watch because of what Ciel did, but overall, I value my precious Sebastian over Ciel so much more, so like wtf, I felt so damn sad for Sebas-chan... 🙁 ♥ In the end, I did not like the ending because Sebastian was not happy. I felt so dayum sad.

To be honest, I definitely did enjoy this series in the end because of the endless possibilities and opportunities that people can find in the anime. Unfortunately, I have not yet touched into the 'real' Kuroshitsuji; therefore, my current opinion and perspective of Kuroshitsuji right now is all mostly based on the anime. Of course, parts of the first season kept the originality of the manga true, but after those first 6-8 episodes, the whole story changed its entire route–even the whole major themes of the story are changed drastically; thus, causing me to more likely have to refer to the manga sooner or later.

Well, anyhow, I have to admit, you've got a major point there–so long as the manga still keeps with its originality, the anime should either top it off or pull it a notch down with a few unexpected events just so that fans have a wider exploration of Kuroshituji in its many different possibilities and aspects. Truly I must say, the anime was entertaining and worth watching. As a major fan of Sebastian, I didn't necessarily like the ending, but that's only because of my love for Sebastian. After all, the ending was actually pretty good, and an entertaining one worth watching. It made me feel the least bit relieved that at least Sebastian and Ciel can be together for eternity rather than for Ciel to be devoured and thus, the story would have ended. Yes, in all honesty, the ending left me desiring (haha) for more of Sebastian; it was quite intriguing and incomplete so hopefully the writers decide to make a season III as it would probably intrigue a lot of fans wanting for more. ♥
