After all, it's only fair since I also judge people for whatever they're interested in (eg. I think people who listen to metal(w/e form) need their ears checked).
I DO try to justify myself to them just so they know that I'm not a real potential danger to little kids though. Most of them get it, and are okay with it...but that doesn't stop the jokes...>_>

Oh and on the matter of Shotacon, apart from me, who else reads them for the hot women and not for the young boys?! xD

I do read shotacon and lolicon. But that's just a taste and in no way, will I bring that out into real life.

I will never prey on children 'cos it would not just mentally affect them, it might mean they'd become apathetic to suffering of other children in similar circumstances or even become "accomplices" of pedophiles in snaring other children.

As to why people're nasty: let me just put it this way. In the 21st century, humans are expected to become ethical and to suddenly develop "just and principled" stands on a wide variety of matters by reading 1 to 2 articles on a topic.

The reality: due to lack of time and social pressure, etc., people instead seek to proclaim stands by talking very loudly about matters instead of understanding from a variety of perspectives. And it doesn't matter if their words eventually hurt others, right? Or that they know VERY little about the topic and might even be convinced they're "utterly correct", right? And that the politicians who listen to them instead of paying attention to crime and other "politically damaging problems" are just as utterly brain-dead, right?

And a deeper reality: many are utterly convinced that children are innocent, angelic beings who're incapable of committing cruelty and who're free from sexual interests and who're utterly pure. When confronted with a situation(even fictional) that throws these views into array, guess what they're going to do? 🤣
