  1. I have to place any TV or DVD remote face-down, no matter what. This is because I grew up around these really old leather sofas (not very shiny or pretty anymore!), and the remotes just used to slip off the couch unless I used the buttons for "traction"... So now, I just can't stand to see any remote face-up, even on a perfectly ordinary table. I'm like: "IT'S GOING TO SLIP! AUGH! SOMEBODY SAVE IIIIITTTT!" Er. Well, okay, not that loud, but I do surreptitiously flip it over. The remote. Not the table.

  2. I have to sleep with the window open, or I feel like I'll smother to death. (Don't ask.) I know that it's a security risk, but I can't help it...

  3. I used to eat soap and chalk, as a kid. Stopped doing it once I turned 10, though. Some kind of nutritional deficiency, maybe? There's a theory that kids with a calcium deficiency like eating chalk. I just thought it was tasty. Mmmm, chaaaalk. /Homer

  4. I love stroking any surface with an interesting texture (like, certain kinds of cement or cloth), which probably makes me look like a pervert. It's totally innocent, though. I've learned not to do it while at work or out socially! Ha. Ha. There was this one time I had to fend off a middle-aged boss who was absolutely positive that I was coming on to him...

I tend to imagine a ball bouncing from a lighting pole, sign, random stick and alike to another pointy object
and I follow its track with my eyes.

Also, I randomly dance in public.

i have many weird habiits; some a case of slight ocd.

i crack my knuckles and my neck,
have to have the door closed
when i get things like m&m,/skittles (or any sweets with muliple colors) i sort them out into the different sections. then eat so there is the same amount in each. then i just eat them going from the ones i like least to my favourites.
i like things to be symetrical
things have to be even(not so bad now)
i talk in a lower voice depending if im talking to male/female
if ive heard someone talk in an accent for a while, i sort of pick it up
when eating food, be it sweets, drink ect, i experiment with it. eg1 starbust; different colours and sqish together(strawberry+lime very good) eg2 i have tried almost everything under the sun with chips/fries. icecream, custard, chocolate milkshake, hot sauce, soy sauce, chilli sauce, worchester sauce, many more, cant remember.
if im talking to someone and the conversation is boring or annoying, i unintentionaly destroy the nearest thing or what im holding.
i also used to eat paper

Thosw aren't weird individually, but altogether I'd say so.

I always have to fiddle with something: earings, necklace, bracelts, rings, watch, pencils, anything. And I always have to be doing at least two things (i.e. driving and talking [I'm actually a better driver when doing this...], watching a movie and doing a craft, reading and listening to music, even sleeping and talking or singing [lately, my roommate tells me I've been talking about dreams in my sleep]).
Speaking of sleep, I also have to always sleep under the covers. It can be 80 degrees in my bedroom (and my dad does turn it up that bloody high in the middle of summer) and I still have to sleep under a blanket (a simple sheet doesn't cut it). Luckily, my suitemates and college and my mom are like that, too.
I also attach names to things. For example, my cell phone is "Shelby" and my computer is "Connor." Still working on a name for my MP3 player...

Hmmm let's see. I bow alot with greetings, farewells, thank yous and "i'm sorry's".
I crack my bones, I have the same problem Lynus did and have a blanket that i have ALOT....not that i carry it around, i just sleep with it or wear it draped around me in the mornings. I always press the lock button on my car keys until it doesn't beep anymore. And i constently play with the face of my watch(it has the ring around it diver's can use and the like.).

I tend to be OCD alot of the time... So I got alot of weird habits relating to that like: eating the messed up crackers/cookies/chips before eating the good ones; eating the crust of bread/cookie before eating the insides (I work my way around). I can't think about any other weirdness I do. Weird >.<...

And when I don't have my glasses to see faraway objects, I curl my fingers into circle-like binoculars and look through them with my eyes, it helps.

Another one would be whenever I walk down a street alone, no matter if the sun is shining or not, I would always look behind my shoulder every 2 minutes to see if any rapists/kidnappers/robbers/stalkers are around. 😮

I can't believe there's someone in this world other than me who does that!!! The funny thing is that I don't even keep this weirdness to myself, but actually gave names to all my friends' stuff (including their cell phones, cars, and just about everything else they own).

It's such a weird but regular habit for me that when I told my friends my dad had bought me a motorbike, the first question I got wasn't "How fast is it?" or "What brand?", but "And how did you name it?" (Nimphais, in case anyone's curious).

BTW, we should have Shelby meet Valerio (my Motorola V3x)!! 😀

Whenever I sit on my computer chair or any chair for that matter I always sit with my knees up and my feet sitting on the top of the chair. If you don't understand what I'm saying I basically sit like L from Death Note 🤣 . I've been doing this since I was about 10 and now I just can't break the habit and it feels uncomfortable if I don't sit like that. Don't know why though 😕 I can still sit down normally but it just feels irritating 🤣

Another weird thing is that I tend to people watch a lot. I don't stalk people <_______<. I just...people watch. I don't know why, but my friends are always asking me why I stare at people when I people watch xD

Plus I have a unintentional loud voice and when I think I'm talking at a normal volume I'm actually quite loud ^^;;

I also don't use stairs. They throw my balance off horribly, and since its happened before, I have this fear I'm going to fall down them. I don't have good balance to begin with though.

I say this because I was just forced to use the stairs at my library to get to the nonfiction level. 🙁

I don't really like to talk irl. Lately I've been trying to cultivate the mysterious, androgynous look for myself, and bubbly chattering isn't really compatible with that. But I listen to what people are saying, no matter if I want to or not (ex. "ohmigod, he DIDN'T"). And apparently I make faces at whoever's talking.

Like, I'd make a one-eyebrow-raised face at someone who I think is a moron, or smirk when I hear something particularly stupid. You know. Oh, and apparently I make the funniest bored "you've got to be kidding me" face. I wish I had a mirror sometimes. ]:
