im lookin for manga based on another source. i don't mean those 2 volumes-long manga that all anime, books, and games have, i want to see something with more effort

something like: Vagabond, based on the novel musashi (which was based on a true story, if im not mistaken)
Pokemon Special, obviously based on the games
and Shingetsutan Tsukihime, based on the visual novel

All of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni's games have 2+ volume manga adaptations. They're all part of the same story, so all together it's at least 16 volumes, I think.
