lol, now I am curious, what makes a straight man desire for borderline gray works of art? A little Bi-curious are we perhaps? 🤣
That statement is uncalled-for, and pretty offensive too. I wouldn't be happy if someone called me closet lesbian or a bisexual, and I'm sure pshomid feels the same. What's so odd about someone who is entirely straight reading BL / GL, anyway?
Jesus, there's nothing wrong with being in the closet or lesbian or bisexual either.....you're making it sounds like it's a bad thing to question sexuality.....especially with the disgusting culture we have become in 21 century where homosexuals have to hide and closet gays are viewed as abnormal and an insult.
Look, I never meant for such a little sentence to offend you so much. I apoligize if it did, but my question stands for the author, so you don't have to answer it...
Please Private Message me in regards to issues you may have that isn't on topic. Thank you

Hmm, I don't think I'm a bi. I just have a little bit more.. tolerance (?). Um, I never find myself aroused/feeling pleased with the bishounens in all the shoujos that I've read, and.. I don't think I will. I've tried watching, you know, things that supposedly will arouse a bi, but I don't think I am one, too bad 🤣

I think they have a test in psychology to determine if you are attracted to something or not. I learned this in psy 101 where the doctor put a metal string around the penis of the subject and then shows the subject images. The string basically measures how turned on you are from the circumference and blood flow rate that the string measures.

Are you still interested in this topic? 'Cause I read something just yesterday that I get the feeling you'll enjoy.
Yarouze! is very fun, and very boyish. A word of warning, though; the first chapter is full of creepy, dirty jokes (which almost made me give up on it, myself); you have to get past those. (I don't recommend skipping that chapter, though - you still need to read it to understand the story) Chapter 2 is where the fun begins - from there on out, it's less about the BL and more about the sports, and there are some really funny jokes too.

Yes, I'm still interested.. even if it's just one recommendation. I'm happy with that. Thanks, I've read Yarouze!.

Well I know that I am almost seven years late, but thanks a lot for creating this topic. This kind of mangas is exactly what I am looking for for years now but have troubles describing what I want to create my own topic lol.
I have read before a lot of titles mentioned here and they are true gems. Banana Fish is my all time favorite. Golden Days and MW have also left a seriously deep impression in me. Not sure if I agree with some of the titles mentioned here since they are a litlle bit too lovey dovey.. But thanks to this thread I have started to venture to the like of Coponicus no Kokyuu and I love it! Have put some other titles in my wish list.
Anyway, I will just leave these few titles here for those who jumped in the wagon late, like me... I cannot remember precisely titles after titles I read and found interesting, but try to explore classic works from mangakas who were mostly active circa 1970-90s such as IKEDA Riyoko (mostly shoujo ai) or TAKEMIYA Keiko (I like Kaze to Ki no Uta and Mirage, if only the latter is scanlated). They are mostly more realistic than recently published works and usually shounen ai is not the mainplot but more on exploring characters’ psyche.
Also, WATANABE Taeko has a few of decent, soft-hinted shounen ai titles, if you like Golden Days you will probably like some of her works like Ame ni Niteiru, Mou Hitotsu no 9-gatsu, and We Are. Kaze Hikaru is good if you love history... but it tends toward the gender bender plot more... Anyway my brothers love Watanabe’s works so hope it makes these titles a legit recommendation.
Not sure about this one, but if you like Zankoku na Kami ga Shihaisuru you might as well give Sakura Gari a try.
This one is an ongoing, recent work... Despite its rather surrealist setting, its portrayal on LGBT issue is quite realistic compared to other mangas out there Shimanami Tasogare.
Also if you guys can stand CLAMP’s antics... try out X and its related series. 😁
