It depends how impatient I'm feeling, also if I read/do a tutorial and it's confusing I will try exploring it by myself.

For games I usually want to figure stuff our by myself, the only reason I would read tutorials is if I love the game and dont want to miss out on its features or if its a MMORPG and I want to make sure I know everything about it.

So both I guess...

I always use the tutorials for the games, unless I'm playing a game again to get the extra unlockables. What should be in games more often is a option where you get to skip the tutorials if you feel like it.

I usually tend to skip the tutorials when I first get a game. Why? They're confusing because I don't know anything about how the game works, so I'm like wtf is it going on about 🤣

So I tend to play a bit first, then wonder what these weird symbols are that I find on the ground etc. and then I go into the tutorials. They're also useful for learning about things in the gameplay you might miss.

So both...somehow 🤣

I'm so OCD that for most games I actually read the manual to learn the commands and such, then play the tutorial to familiarize myself so I don't make a complete fool of myself or die within the first 10 minutes, then go into the actual game-play. My friends make fun of me for it, but at least I never come running to them asking, "How do you do this??"

But I also replay the games I have a lot, so do I find it irritating when games make you go through the tutorial levels every time you play and won't let you skip it.

Most of the newer games don't use classic tutorials anymore. They usually have the how-to-do-instructions included in the first missions. Often you find a "tutorial mode" option in the game options. If you enable it, you will get help messages when you have to do something for the first time in the game.
I think this is a good way to teach the game mechanics.

I usually disable the tutorial mode in my second playthrough.
