I am looking for a good wuxia or xianxia with a strong romance. When I say romance I mean an actual developed relationship between a man and a women. I am fine with either male or female protags and manhua or LNs. I do prefer a more serious and adult type of story.

Something like The Demonic King Chases His Wife - The Rebellious Good-for-Nothing Miss (Novel) would be ideal. It has a good balance between action and romance and the focus is on the development between the two main characters (though the author could let up on some of the descriptions). I don't mind suggestions for great stories that have been dropped or are not yet being translated (I'll keep an eye out for them in the future), but I would love something I can sink my teeth into right away with a bunch of chapters already translated.

Edit: I am reading Fenglin Tianxia - Wangfei Shisansui (Novel), but I got a little bored of it. The main character is too ridiculous and hard to relate to. The story is also not really focused on developing the main character as a person. A good story is born from the struggle and its hard to feel any sense of tension in this one. I enjoy clever protags that out smart their enemies also.

Chang Ge Xing maybe? ...... i dont know , it seems that until a wuxia or similar manhwa/novel introduce romance on it just ... idk... 😐

I haven't read them, but you could try Lost You Forever and Once Promised (both are labeled as xianxia) by Tong Hua. I usually don't recommend series that I haven't read, but Tong Hua has had two of her novels adapted to dramas and they're really good!

Most of the series that I can think of usually are either light in romance or in the wuxia/xianxia aspects. But here are my recs anyways:

Miao Miao Miao (Novel) (xianxia) - Slooooow romance. More comedy than serious.

Sansheng, Death Exists Not at the River of Oblivion (wuxia) - Heavier on the romance?

7 Unfortunate Lifetimes (xianxia) - Leans comedy.

Thanks for the recommendations, I appreciate it. I know its not an easy combination most wuxia/xianxia stories don't have a developed romance.

Edit 2: Its not that long and I already finished it, but I recommend "Gentleman Free Flowing Cloud" if anyone else is looking for stories like this. It has a clever and realistic female protag. The character development is well done and I thoroughly enjoyed the mix of action and romance. I would not say it is one of my favorites, but it was definitely good.
