Just take a look at all these alternate stories in Tsubasa - Reservoir Chronicle.

I'm not gonna go removing them because there might be some relations in some of them I don't know of, but one thing's for certain - Tsubasa is not an alternate story of Chobits ^^;

It's is something to discuss... because Tsubasa uses a lot of other stories characters, so in some way can we consider it as a alternate universe with the same characters? Like, Chii appears in both, so Tsubasa becomes the alternate universe where Chii's story is different from Chobits story?

Just because Clamp likes to recycle characters it doesn't automatically mean that all of their series are alternate stories of one another.
For me an alternate story is one following the same characters (maybe not all of them, but still more than one), but different events (or at least ones that were changed a bit).
No good manga examples come to my mind etm, but I can certainly give you one from anime - Kimi ga Nozomu Eien.

Well, I like the list of mangas in related stories. Like Sakura as the main character, she was in Sakura Card Captor too and even if the stories aren't related (meaning it is a sequel or the same character as in same life/personality), it's nice to see where that character came from.

If a person knows xxHolic is related to Tsubasa, she will understand better the story between Watanuki and Syaoran. It's not a alternate story super necessary to understand Tsubasa, but it is a nice touch to know this story has lots of other characters of other stories and knowing their importance is good to understand Tsubasa better.

In my opinion, Tsubasa puts together the Clamp universe, so listing the other mangas is important for me. But I can see you point in "altenate story", since some people could read the other mangas and think "well, I didn't find the SAME characters, same personality, same relationships..." because it is like reading a completed different story with a character having the same face...

Anyway, for me there is tiny details in other mangas that add a lot of value to Tsubasa and I would like that list to stay there, even if the "altenate story" may be wrong.
