Please dont state your opinion until you've actually played both games. Gameplay vids dont really tell you anything about how smooth it plays or anything like that, they just show how good the graphics are and maybe a few gameplay elements. My suggestion is to leave this open for more than just CoD4 and Halo 3, they dont define the FPS genre. I remember when CS was all the rage (not source but pre 1.6), that game rocked when it came out. I also enjoyed the first few Medal of Honors (especially Pacific Assault) as well as the Battlefield series. Halo 1 and 2 were fun as well, but I also loved games like Unreal Tournament and Doom. I played Farcry a few times as well and that game was nice too.

Thats not the point I'm trying to make. I just want him to play the games before he goes spouting which one he thinks is better. I know full well that there have been many games that have had as good or if not better multiplayer than Call of Duty or Halo.

Halo online is frusturating because the skill gap is sickening. I say this because Halo is ONLY fun when you win. If your playing with your friends it doesn't matter. The hyper competative nature of the game pisses me off.

COD4 is just plain fun no matter how good or bad you are at it. When I was just plain horrible, I had fun. Now that I'm good enough to win 65-70% of my matches, I still have fun.

I'm just gonna throw in Gears of War because its a great game to play against your pals across seperate tv's.

COD4 is far more better, okay Halo has all that weapons crap, but I dont know how to explain but cods so much more fun, and so much more irritating when you lose, me and my friends from my hometown play it every night on multiplayer, nothing beats it
