Hmm, I've noticed some deliberate similarities between Season 1 & 2.

They're small though. -.-

Ep. 01:

• The gambling match
• Lelouch going with a bike to the match but instead of Rivalz driving it's Rollo now, with Lelouch sitting in the passenger seat.
• Their comment on the bike ride about Lelouch's future job.
• The terrorist attack where Lelouch gets dragged into.
• C.C. getting shot.

Also the fact that the thug is called the "Black King", while Lelouch won the match in the 1st Season's 1st episode with the black king. 😛

There are plenty of things like that. Like the 3rd Episode of the 1st season he tells to Nunnally that he won't lie, at least not to her. And then he says it again to Rollo coincidentally on the 3rd Episode again, in a cynnical way.

Meh, I'm just nitpicking though. 😛 Despite the similarities, they're executed differently and great at that, so I'm not complaining~

Just fun to notice those little things. 😛 Probably coincidence? o.O

As for predictions, no Rollo is not Nunnally or her brother. At least, I don't think so. I also find it amusing how cruel Lelouch is intending to just use him.

And that's the reason why I feel Lelouch is going to die at the end...don't get me wrong, I like Lelouch's character as much as everyone else but I just can't shake the feeling that a cold character like Lelouch won't see it through to the end...

actaully i think its very likely rollo could be nanally and luluch's brother. not from the same mom of course but who knows just how many kids the emperor sired from multiple women.

yeah it does seem like luluch is going to die in the end but what would really piss me off is if suzaku actually lives in the end

Agreed 100%. He's a completely human character who simply tries to help others without killing innocents. People tend not to like realistic characters though- look at Shinji Ikari.

I doubt Lelouch will die at the end. I think Sunrise wants to avoid further Death Note comparisons, rather than create more.

Rollo could be related to Lelouch, but he even if he is biologically, I don't think Lelouch will actually ever view him as a brother unless he does something to help Nunnally. With the exceptions of Nunnally, Suzaku, and possibly C.C., everyone's just a pawn anyway.

i dont hate him but i just hate how he kills and acts all like he's the one right and then says he did it because it would help the people. to me this is the same thing that luluch is doing except with different reasons. but the main thing is that he's a hypocrite. i'd also like to say he's impulsive but im not bothered by that and that he seems to try and force his oppinion on others

Shinji is easy to relate to, he has a deadbeat dad, he has no friends, he's depressed and suicidal; sounds like ur average 8th grader goin thru puberty.

He just doesn't think that violence is the way to go. That's why he wants to stop Zero. He believes that the Brittanian and the Japanese can be equal, through means without violence or killing people. Just do your best, and climb up the ladder.

He's even the poster-child for how high an Eleven can go, because he is an Eleven, and yet he's the most trusted guard of the Emperor.

And about the argument that he killed his father, and now he's being a hypocrite by not killing people and protecting everyone... He was 10, guys. 10! He didn't mean to kill his father, and he also didn't think about the consequences. All he wanted was there to be no war. And out of impulse, he killed his own father.

I'm curious though about the whole who-killed-Marianne case, and how C.C knows her.

Finished ep. 5, and despite being an Ashford ep, it was EPIC.

Important stuff in spoilers:

The largest change after this episode: Nunnally. That and Suzaku acting with intelligence beyond what he's usually given- it's almost a Lelouch-level trap. His memories of Nunnally have been overwritten, so naturally if he hasn't awakened he would instantly respond "...Who is this?", but because he paused from the shock, Suzaku now knows that he awakened and can act accordingly. Lelouch also hates Suzaku now because he's by Nunnally's side. Expect murderous vengeance. This is sort of what I predicted, they gave Suzaku a way to get power, but the conflict isn't really about morals anymore, it's about Nunnally.

Thorough edit: I rewatched the last scene a few times to make sure I didn't miss anything (I thought it was weird because I'm fairly certain Suzaku said that this person would be the new governor) and I'm fairly positive. Nunally is set to become the new governor of Japan, but isn't actually yet. I'm not exactly sure how to respond to that... It makes things easier for Lelouch, I guess, rather than more difficult. He just has to kidnap the Governor now.

Next change is Rollo finalizing his allegiance to Lelouch by admitting that his Geass has a weakpoint. He can clearly use it on people more than once, so I don't think that's the issue. My guess would be that it either affects his body adversely in some way, or there are time constraints (i.e. 10 seconds a day, or something).

Lelouch now knows that V.V. exists. That's huge, although Shirley interrupted before C.C. could explain anything new. I felt sort of bad that she got knocked into the tomatoes.

The final big change (other than the presence of Zino and Anya), is Viletta. If I'm not mistaken, she's captured and freaks out after Lelouch says "Ougi Kaname." Fukuyama really did evil well in that scene too (/voiceacting rant).

For new predictions:
-Milly x Zino?
-Viletta joins the Black Knights
-Suzaku lets Lelouch go even though he's awakened.

Anyways, just finished seeing episode 5. It was pretty relaxing, taking a break from the action for a bit. And it was very entertaining, I have to say.

I felt bad for C.C. after she got thrown into that tomato container. She just wanted some giant pizza~

Suzaku did well, planning out that trap of his to confirm Lelouch's awakening. I'm not sure about what action Suzaku will take, or what Nunnally being the new governor will entail, but it'll be interesting to see what happens next episode since we're kind of left with Lelouch's shocked face.

Rollo's Geass' weakness is certainly an interesting point. I'd place it at some sort of time limit, but it probably won't end up that way and be something more unique.

Question, though. Was that wine that Lelouch showed Viletta at the end meant as a gift? I assume so because of his "Happy Birthday" comment and his comment before about if she wanted to be reborn (assuming, to switch sides), but I just want some confirmation. If it's so, then it looks like Viletta'll be joining the Black Knights. Or perhaps just be used by Lelouch for some plan of his.

And, side note, Li's got a pretty sweet ride.

I think the "Happy Birthday" line was just thrown in there for dramatic effect, but basically she can do exactly as he says, or be cast out of the empire (or at least her royalty) for having a relationship with Ougi. Either she joins the Black Knights, or loses everything.

So yeah, that's probably what'll happen. Either that or she dies, but I think Lelouch is smarter than that.

Alright, thanks. Yeah, I was taking that birthday comment too literally and so that kind of confused me there. After rewatching it, now I see that Lelouch was probably just playing off of how he asked her "don't you want to be reborn?" and brought out the line for her "birth" as a Black Knight/his pawn. At least, that's what I got out of it now. Though, in the end, it's insignificant since I got what he was essentially saying anyways.

And while I'm posting again, seems like Lloyd'll be showing up in the show again pretty soon. He's one of my more favored characters, so I'll be looking forward to that.

this episode was the godliest one yet it started out all relaxing and ended so dramatically. Nunnally is going to be the new governor that seriously was bullet to the head. anyways i dont think suzaku made that plan of having nunnally as the governor. it seems kinda cruel for him. Sure he's hardened with the death of euphemia but hes not evil enough to use luluch's sister to get back at him this was most likely fabricated by the king. but Suzaku's test was something crazy but knowing luluch he'll be able to shrug it off easily.

i agree with the millyxzino (correction i dont agree zinoxanya is wht's most likely yo happen)

and i'd also like to ask if anyone else feels that thier might be something between nunnally and rollo

oh i doubt villeta will die

also suzaku's speech about how he wants to become knight 1 makes me pissed. And why the hell did euphemia have to be geassed and die she was the only character that could virtually control both suzaku and luluch. sure she was a bit ditzy and annoying at times but you have to admit she was the only female to stump luluch.
