Hi, so I would like to join a scanlation group. I don't have anything to do until September so I will be free virtually all the time. I thought scanlating might be a fun thing to do in the meantime. I have no experience whatsoever but would like to give it a go.
I am willing to do editing, typesetting, proofreading, quality checking (basically anything that doesn't involve TLing). I will more than likely need some guidance until I get the hang of it.

I'm sure there are a lot of groups that are willing to put newbies under their wing, even if it's only for the summer (hopefully longer). What kind of manga do you enjoy reading most? My advice is to check out the recruitment pages of the groups that scanlate your type of manga - I think it would be great if you work on a project that you personally like.
