I'm starting (duh)

"It's better to say too much than never to say what you need to say" as well as "Speak your mind" or the like
Saying too much -> being a bore.
Speaking your mind whenever you like -> being frank, transparent, selfish.

"Be more simple and people will reach for you" (not sure about the translation)
So if you're complicated do you really want to deal with simple people?

Quote from stubborn blob

"It's better to say too much than never to say what you need to say"

I'm pretty sure this one refers to "do something with all your effort rather than to regret later for not doing so", rather than just...talking (did that come out right?)

I don't care to find self improvement in a sentence, ever, and I find quotes a bit pretentious.

All of them seem a bit redundant to me. Be a better person by doing/being blah blah blah.

The only exception is if the moral message is cleverly covered with humour or sarcasm. Then I'm okay with it.

But don't shove things down my throat.

Maybe it is so. Anyway I was referring more to "don't be afraid of expressing your opinion".

Forgive and forget

No no no. You don't forget. You remember so you don't make the same mistake again.

It is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all.

I find that bs, especially for people who have been in love with those that are abusive.

I agree with both of you. 😐

I think that's more meant in the context of a healthy relationship.

Quotes are suppose to have different interpretations, that's why they're quoted.

correct one is "know yourself". in the end we all play personas in the net in the RL. it's another persona.

I think its deeper than that.

In my experience it means to have the confidence to be yourself. In order to be yourself, you need to accept and love yourself. If your satisfied with self, then being yourself won't be much of a chore.
So knowing yourself does play a part of it, but that just skims the surface.
