I just remembered reading this fantasy manga many years ago, where the main character is a guy with super long black hair, and looked feminine enough that in the first chapter, he encounters an adventurer group on the mountain and they all believe him to be a girl, and a human male along with a dwarf male in that group basically see him as a damsel in distress until the attack (can't remember by what, could be monsters, could be wild animals) is over and the main character angrily informs them that he is male.

Other than that, I only remember that there was a girl in the group, and when the guys accidentally cut off the main character's hair, she helps to braid it back on so his hair style went from super long free-flowing hair to hair that's loose around his chin with a super long braid down his back.

Also, there's a slight impression that he came from another world, but not the modern one? And that he had flashbacks about his teacher quite often?

But yeah, I looked through the tv-tropes listings for "dude looks like a lady" and "long-haired pretty boy" without finding it, so I guess it was never very popular? And it may have been Korean instead of Japanese? Please help T-T
