I've re-read this series quite a few times. I wish it was being continued. You will find a male protagonist with a huge backstory behind him and then the generic whisked away into another world. There is an actual love interest among setting up the story for things to go wrong. My only complaint is that sometimes the main character doesn't act in according to how he's developed. It only happens once or twice but it's very noticeable when it happens. Despite having a generic start i love the authors imagination and you can tell he loves his art work. The art work is great. The plot and story are generic but the art and delivery are splendid. The characters are loveable and sometimes stupid but that's why you love them.

I give it an 8 out of 10 because it may not ever be finished. but it's definitely worth a read. I read this years ago and re-read it again out of love. <3

Boring

This one was really boring, I ended up dropping it after 35 or so chapters. In first place, the characters are annoying, or at least those who appear the most are the most annoying (the Dwarf, Grey and Id), the rest are decent or not, can't tell since they rarely speak even the high elf that's supposed to be the female lead has had little to show thus far. In second place, I find the humor to be extremely dumb and in with the excuse of trying to be funny, the artist, keeps messing with the art-style which is bad enough and doesn't need more reasons to suck, imo the drawings are simply horrible, might seam nice at first glance but its very hard to follow that happens on fights and how the movements go from panel to panel.
Last, the story was not enticing in the least, after 35 chapters there hasn't been one thing that managed to hook me up with the world or what was happening to the characters.
In short, not worth it, add to that that it's discontinued and my advice is to avoid this one.

this one has a great blend of humor and action and its long enough that you can really get into the story and characters. it does have its slow chapters, but then, even one piece has its slow chapters now and again. i think this and king of hell are two of my favorite fantasy/ action manhwa where the mc are strong from the start. as someone else pointed out, sometimes its nice to have a mc who is not constantly angsting about how weak he is in the beginning and obsessing about getting stronger for most of the rest of the series.
over all its a good pick for those who like more then the simple shounen formula and its long enough that the story has time to develop.
also, i never got the sense that that there was too much prose in the speech bubbles but i can see where some people would think so.
on a side note, i neither love or hate Hawthorne novels but as most have less than 250 pages the term "too wordy" doesn't really fit.

Am I reading a manga or a novel? -_-

I know this makes me sound stupid, but Jesus Christ this author sure likes to have his characters give entire speeches in every bubble. Too many words! If you have to use a gazillion words for your characters to say one thing, you're doing it wrong. (The same goes for novels, in fact. I don't care if you loved the Scarlet Letter, Victorian Nathaniel Hawthorne writing should stay dead.)

The story's probably good (or at least okay for awhile before decending into constant power up and fight new boss, according to the other reviews). I won't be finding out because this manhwa is too wordy! At least Deathnote doesn't waste any of it's sentences, despite being word dense.

Great Find

Best manga I've read in a long time. Love the action romance supernatural themes.
A genuine romantic interest for once, no overdone love triangles or ecchi harems.
Lots of swordplay and magic and super powered martial arts.

Though I prefer if the protagonist started off weak and gains strength, and I do admit that the main character is overpowered like crazy.. Watching him kick all the bad guys still good.

The romantic tension keeps the plot interesting, and if not done correct could ruin it for me. However the romance has been good for the first 10 volumes, and hope it will continue to develop.

It's a sappy story. It starts off well enough. But later all you see is the Hero getting powerful without even knowing how. Keeps on unleashing extra powerful techniques. And the Heroine is useless except for loving the Hero. The sword is a bum for choosing Hero. I am a bum for choosing this manhwa.

As you keep reading, the story gradually deteriorates, Hero taking up tasks for strangers out of his overwhelming kindness-irritating.

The beginning if I remember right takes time to really get started. When it does get started though it is a really awesome Fusion Fantasy and it deserves it arrogant title Id - The Greatest Fusion Fantasy. BAD POINTS about the story is the art drastic changes through out the story so it going to be harder to tell who is who. Basically all the story characters have the same face but some have mustaches (the defining detail). The villain really all look the same at the end. The story telling becomes half-baked somewhere in the story. You won't remember when you just started reading it to read but its not like you'll drop it after coming this far. The story was the greatest(10) than became below average(<7). Lets just help that the hiatus the story was on improves the overall story.
GOOD POINTS - interesting characters, setting and back-stories.
