In a recent study done by a British sleep expert suggests that our bodies could be saying something about us even when we are asleep. He interviewed 1000 men and women and found a correlation between their personalities and sleeping positions.

The study found that the 6 most common sleep positions are:

Here are their personalities and percentage of people who slept in that sleeping position:

Fetal Position 41% – Tough on outside but sensitive at heart. Shy at start but quick to relax.

Log Position (straight on side) 15% - Easy going and sociable. Generally trusting of strangers but sometimes gullible.

Yearner (arms outstretched on side) 13% - Open nature but can be suspicious and cynical. Slow to reach decisions and reluctant to change their minds.

Soldier (flat on back) 8% - Quiet and reserved. Don’t like a fuss. Set high standards for themselves and others.

Free Fallers (on stomach) 7% - Brash and gregarious on the exterior but thin skinned. Outward confidence masks a personality that responds badly to criticism.

Starfish (on back with hands above head) 5% – Make good friends because they are ready to listen and offer help. Unassuming and happiest out of the spotlight.

So, which are you? And does the personality match?

Honestly, I'm comfortable with all positions. I'm flexible in thought too, at least that's what I like to think. o.o;; So, maybe that's why? XD I'm usually a combination of the yearner and the freefaller. I guess they fit? o.o;; I think I sleep as a freefaller a bit more though. Starfish looks a bit uncomfortable though. 🤣 But I can deal with that~ When you're tired, you don't care. D;

I almost always sleep in fetal position, it's a weird habit, but it's the most comfortable position for me. Other times it's yearner position. D=

Don't really trust the personality relation...I just like sleeping comfortable, it changes all the time. ._.

generally i will sleep in the log position, though not like dead straight
and i would say it fits my personality as im am a very easy going person and can happily socialize with just about anybody happily, yet easy going enough to not need to soicalize at all.
though im not a very trusting person, always questioning peoples motives...
so i would say that it is relatiely accurate, but i sometimes just sleep where i land not really caring if its very comfortable or not....

generally soldier position (with a twist that I fold my hand on my chest when I sleep), or sometimes starfish when I sleep on a bench.

But I always wake up in the soldier position if I slept well.
It fits.

And the freefaller position is really comfortable but it's a bitch on my neck.

I usually sleep in the Free Fallers position and sometimes Yearner, but none of the descriptions really fit me. My personality is more soldier like.

I definitely sleep in Log position, and I would say the assessment is decently accurate. I am fairly trusting, and generally by definition there's some amount of gullibility in being so trusting, but I fancy that I'm not quite so stupid as to be openly gullible. (I definitely was as a child, though.)

a combination of these 3, then again I also sleep in yearner, and in fetal when cold.

Free fall(I call it plane crash): when I am dead tired and I just crash in my bed (I often say I crash landed on my bed, because I don't care if there is a pile of clothes or no sheets, I just run out of fuel and crash).

But most of the time, I sleep in either soldier or starfish.

I keep changing between starfish and freefaller until I fall asleep. Starfish matches somewhat but freefaller doesn't match at all.

Damn this is hard since I move around like hell when I sleep.. but I usually start out with the yearner postion.

Lately I fall asleep free falling, and wake up a starfish.

Nevermind, someone already pointed it out. 🤣
