Whatever Naruto's "that jutsu" is, it seems he needs a lot of chakra to perform it. Hence why he needs to control the Kyuubi's chakra...

If that was the case why would jiraiya tell him not to use it? it has to be a technique that is potentially to dangerous to use. We can always hope, but I seriously doubt either of them are going to die. Kishi is willing to kill of character, but with the death of Jiraya just behind us I highly doubt he'll kill any more pivotal characters this soon.

Well he did kill Jiraya right after he killed that other dude (name escapes me). It would completely reek of suck if one character didn't die in this ordeal of a battle. And it wont be sasuke

you've got a point, but i don't really see either uchina's dying in this fight. just doesn't feel like the end and both of those guys need to be in the mix for the finale

but thats just a gut feeling
