Cat Street is realistic, romantic and mature.
I also agree with Paradise Kiss.
Crossroad could be another one.

A lot of things by SAKURAZAWA Erica are pretty realistic. But you have to be able to appreciate her style.

I should add the Embalmer. Doesn't have much romance but it's more about life and the main guy. It's licenced in English.
