The only time Negima fights have felt overly extended, to me at least, was the fight with Jack, and that we epic enough to deserve it. I really haven't ever read a chapter of Negima and thought it was a complete waste of my time. WIth Naruto and Bleach I have, many times. That's why Negima is above Naruto in my book...that and all the Narutards out there. =.=;

That is how many of us feel...
The only reason Negima is not above either Naruto or Bleach is because the Negima Anime SUCKS!!!! Bakuman taught us that Anime attracts people to read the manga, and if the Anime sucks, then people would think the manga sucks... is a shame Negima anime is such a piece of crap... If Negima had a good/excellent anime then, one of the BIG 3 would be under, or it would be called the BIG 4.

i dunno why, maybe som1 already said that, but the story about asuma/fake-asuma has something similare with 3x3Eyes and the fake parvarti in the second ark.
I just hope it will not turn the same... but it's exactly similare....
the fake is an enemy, forgot her memory and thought she is the real one, finally fall in love and became an ally, recover her memory but stay an ally...
I really hope it will not something like, but i ll not be against too (1 more in negi harem xD)

Although the fake asuna is fully aware that she is a spy. She mentions it once or twice, including once in the washroom when she says she can't let her two emotions mix.

Yeah I do, Negi is such a playboy...rofl...but still I'm starting to dislike Negima...it seems like the author can't decide between the ecchi stuff and the action...he better focus on the action and story or I'll drop this manga...

The author has brought back some clues that it is still the fake asuna, such as asuna being affected by magic, or the scene where she is in the washroom and reaffirms her identity. As for ecchi versus action, why not take both? Remember, negima wasn't really that heavy in action as it is in ecchiness, I mean just compare the early chapters. If anything, the action has been getting more intense as negima becomes stronger, especially compared to the non-kenpo non-evangeline trained negima to the current negima now. The battles are only getting more and more spectacular, but I'm glad the ecchiness and feelings between characters is also being developed. After all, this is a harem genre manga.
Besides, it's a series based on a 10 year old teacher to a bunch of female students, and that he is a magician who can form pactio by kissing them............if anything the series should be getting ECCHIER along with more action packed

Well...this is indeed a harem..almost the whole female cast falls for Negi...and nobody seems to be disturbed by the fact that Negi kissed other girls...that's what I call a harem manga xD
