I see Christmas as a day I spend with my family. Yeah, you buy presents but it's different (for me anyway). Valentine's Day is specifically for lovers, and it's all about showering your significant other with gifts and love something you can very well do everyday, as kaerfehtdeelb has said.

Anyway, so many Valentine's Day threads...how depressing.

No. That is not exclusivley the purpose of Christmas, although it is one aspect of the holiday. Some people still celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Valentine's day one the other hand is exclusively about showing love through gifts and the like. Which you can do whenever you want.

I wouldn't say valentine's day is exclusively for showering your significant other with gifts to show appreciation.
I simply see it as a day to be romantic. Plus, It's a great excuse to get closer to any man/woman you so desire. 😁

In other words, complaining about the negatives will just will make you miss the opportunities for the positives.
