No offense but IRC is for people that have way too much time on their hands, ask me to register and post a couple of times in a forum to access manga...maybe. Most likely not, make me go to the irc and I'll ignore your stuff (I'll still find it whether I get it from you or someone else). I don't know how to use irc (thank god) and I don't want to learn how to use it. If some of you want to spend all day on irc good for you, I have better things to do.

And as far as removing DL links for hentai get off your moral high horse and get a life. As it is I find that there are not enough links anymore here at manga updates. Most days I simply come to look and see if anything has been released, I almost never actually use any links from MU to get my manga. Removing more links is not a good idea, regardless of the genre.

Today 5 out of 16 releases (filtering yaoi, shounen-ai and smut) have a DL link, yesterday 4 out of 25 unfiltered releases have a DL link, that's not much and if you take away the hentai DL links there are even fewer reasons to come by. Not that I DL that much hentai, really I don't.

So if you really feel that strongly about not wanting to read hentai or any other damn type of manga, then do what all normal people do, filter it and get over it. 🤣

A) IRC is easier to use than posting at forums (especially if it's 25, 15 word long, quality posts). You don't have to post; once you know how to use it (like the internet), you'll never have to learn again. It's like DDL with maybe another 2 minutes added so you can login and get to the channel.
B) ChronicD was merely saying that he/she doesn't like making life too easy for others; it didn't have anything to do with removing them because of hentai.
C) MU is an information site not a download site so it doesn't really matter how many download links it has.
C) Hentai DOES have more than one meaning. SURE, we usually use it for the dirty form but it does have an innocent meaning, too. So, it shouldn't be filtered out. The manga should just also have the adult label added as well.

Oh my, you don't have time for IRC, but enough time to search around for manga =/ Personally, I never bothered to learn IRC either... it just came to me naturally =) But, I'm not sure why you'd be happy having one less skill in life...

As for removing hentai links... I don't see the point. I just don't go to hentai releases altogether, so no worries for me. This isn't the same issue as that 18+ topics on the front page thingy. For this, you actually have to search for it, while the latter was just there before our eyes... =/

I don't think there is any need to not put Hentai download links on Releases because it is easy enough to avoid it. There is always the Genre part telling you what the manga is and if it has the word Hentai in it just don't click on it. 🙂

You'd be amazed if you know how fast you can get stuff on IRC. If we're comparing it to registering in some forum and also posting, then it's much, much faster. A DDL link is perhaps more convenient, but if there's anything else I prefer IRC:

Of course, you do have to learn what IRC is and how it works. And I can understand if people don't want to do that.
