So, Jack Rakan is DEAD. Wow, just WOW. And WTF? It's like a brick in our readers' faces.
Well, these two chapters are by far the best Negima has to offer (although, there is that Rakan vs Negi fight...)
Now, for the theories.
- Asuna is immune to rewrite. And why not? She's immune to most forms of magic, except for illusion, mind control and such. Also, her lineage seems to have something to do with the existence of the Magic world.
- Nagi is from Earth, thus making Negi immune to rewrite.
- Mars is doomed. At least, I hope so. They should move on to Jupiter, for the heck of it.
- Rewrite is reversible. I sure hope NOT. We've had enough of that with Chao's bullets.

We really don't know about that, it could be either of those options.
Negi's mom, is 100% from the magic world, so... wait a minute... could this be the reason why Colonel Sanders has to remain in a magic rich place? I mean to sustain his illusory body in the real world?, if that is the case then that would mean, Konoka father and Takamishi are 100% from the real world and the chances of Nagi being a Human born in the old world are quite high...

By this moment Jack Rakan is probably in the top 3 characters of every reader of Negima...
With is why IT SUCKS so much for him to be killed... I just hope they don't pull a Dragon ball and bring everyone back to life... even if that means getting old Jack back... that wouldn't be the same.
The only way I would LOVE to see Jack back, is if he comes back to the world of the living by sheer power alone... heck You can force him to sacrifice his power and age and make him return as a kid... I wouldn't mind that at all.
PS: What is Nodoka going to do? she is going to get his name... but unless she has the ability to mind control (rewrite was appear in her book) then she is royally fucked... or at least I can't see where this is heading...

And that won't change in the near future.
If we're talking about the male-only ranking, Rakan currently shares the 4th place with Hosaka from Minami-ke.
I wouldn't mind if he keeps coming back as a spirit. That's probably the best solution here.
edit: Reread the chapter and noticed this line: "See ya round, kid". It could mean nothing but ot could also be a hint.
About Nodoka, up till now she only used one of her books. Maybe, we'll get to see what the other 9 are capable of... 😕
Damn, I might get withdrawal symptoms before the next chapter is out... Well, for now - let's reread the awesome Negi vs. Rakan fight to commemorate the death of a Great Man.

If any girl from class died Negi would have surely killed himself lol (based on the responsibility he feels towards them), OR he would go 'dark' and asswhooped everything and anything. End of the world - "Mahou sensei Negima" ends lol.
Jokes aside, remember from where/when Chao came? It means mars will be more or less saved from destruction.
It also seems like this is final Negima arc 🙁 I somehow cant imagine any stronger enemy apearing if they manage to survive this one... What about rest of the class? No spotlight for them? 🙁

Mars may have been saved from destruction in her timeline but that has nothing to do with the current events, right? So, everything is possible.
I don't think that this is the last arc. Nagi went missing on Earth so they will probably return there, at least. And I somehow cannot shake that feeling about Zazie being on Eva's level...

see, I doubt any girls who was -ordinary- from 3A will die. If there is one, it's more likely to be Asuna, but that would be another story since her primary role is "descendant of the magical world queen or whatever".

From what Fate said and what Nodoka mind-read from him it seems Nagi's disappearance is connected to him right? And he is (mid?)boss in this arc so it might be solved soon.
Also he disappeared on earth but you know that the gate in Wales is not the only one on earth right?
Just guessing tho~
I also hope this series will continue for a long time (again - leftover girls, no "Full 3-A pactio set" for negi?)
P.S: Akamatsu-sensei takes wayyy too many breaks lately... but i guess thats the price for the quality he gives us~ :/

I hate that "master key" idea...
Damn. Even if the world is illusionary, restoration of deleted elements is impossible without influencing the whole system... and that starts a chain reaction leading to apocalyptic results... and they're going to do it?
