I've deliberately made an account just to comment on how beautiful Tears to Tiara was (ur thread is Tears of Tiara, so took me a while to find again).
Like you all I was really moved by the story. but the first non-linear eroge game I played was the English-Translated Princess Waltz.
That was simply amazing. The music, the artwork, and the interplay between characters was beautiful
ANYWAYS the point is. =D
any other games but Tears to Tiara and Princess Waltz? =]

tears to tiara is too fluffy for me
i cant stand Leafs art after comic party in 1999

after that the art becomes boring and generic

i have not tried the game
i did watch the first 5-6 episodes of the anime and it felt fluffy and boring

i do like the first 5 visual novels Leaf did Shizuku to Comic Party
and Filsnown is another good game from them

so its not that i hate leaf...i just like their older works ALOT more

and another thing
its sad that they got away with ripping of SNKs Nakoruru and Rimururu when they did Utawarerumono
fans should have protested
copy two very cute girls put animalears on them and success

i think i just wasted 3 hours. i want my time back.

i played and played and no fight like tears to tiara or utawarerumono appeared.
they all played our like a normal VN fight.

and the story is really really boring. all i do is follwing a stupid blond boy calling out CHRIS CHRIS. i'd rather follow one of the girls. does this get anywhere? and does the story get any better? this whole VN is semms just about fighting some magical beats and beat other princesses and thats it.

is this VN really worth mentioning?

well Princess waltz is all about the story, for me personaly I found the story also boring at first, but after a few hours of game play I became quite fond of the story and found it both funny and interesting.

But if your looking for an action packed game then Princess Waltz definitely isnt your thing, its about 85% story and 15% action...

I would recommend it thou if you want a good story

well thats the thing. i want a good story, but i can find neither action nor story in princess waltz.

but i only played like 3 hours. if you had the same problem, then maybe the story will be better if i really get into it.
i guess i 'll try playing it a little longer tomorrow.

i've read a review about it saying it was even better then utawarerumono in story regard...so i have high hopes, which hopefully wont get dissapointed any further...

don't be so petty 3h of our life is not a big deal XD

I honestly don't want to write another review about this game, suffice to say I've played it and it is an exceptionally good game. You should definitely check it out!

Some amazing pictures with great music. Really funny too, you can't help but smile or laugh every time Liliana "Lun Lun" makes an appearance (check the sixth picture in the link).

This game is so good that it has actually been officially translated to english. Not many eroge games can say that.

Well, the Suzushiro character is hardly unique. Both personality and appearance looks like Shinobu from Love Hina.

As for the game compared to Utawarerumono and TtT it's not even close. However, I will say that from a pure production value standpoint I've never played a game with so much as Princess Waltz. After experiencing the dynamic fighting scenes in this game you'll never look at another action scene in an eroge the same again.
