Many of my friends don't know manga and barely know some anime 🙄 Girls are the worst at that.
I just don't share that with them and move on. You can't expect people have your same interests, some do most don't.
And that's it.
If they read or see it I'll talk to them about it. But if not, I guess that's that than.

I picked other...since none of those really apply to me.
I have some friends who are into it and some friends who arent. I talk about it with my friends who are into it and those who arent I talk to about other stuff.

I don't really care if they watch/read manga/anime. I understand that my friends have their own means of entertainment and hobbies. (Although it happens that a lot of my friends coincidently like anime so...)

okay, a lot of my friends know about manga and anime, and many of them like to read manga and watch anime, and some of my friends are like OMG ur reading that again? (when reading manga [ even when it's not the same series]), and some people in some of my classes are like "anime is so stupid" or "anime is scary" and i'm like WTF!! but yeah most of my friends like manga and anime 😃

If I find out they are clueless about M/A I immediately try to rectify the situation. I quiz them to see what kind of films/books they like and give recommendations all while telling them how amazing it is, offer to let them borrow whatever I have and insist that we watch Princess Mononoke as soon as possible.
So far no complete converts yet, quite a few casual reader/watchers though. All my friends tolerate me gushing about the newest M/A 's I've found so it's all good. Even if they don't care for it they'll pretend to listen for the first 15 minutes or so.

casually bring it up if maybe something interesting happened, but generally not very often.
it'd be nice to find a few more manganime friends tho
Don't really care...it's just a hobby...
Unless they mention it, I won't talk about anime/manga...

i said the issues disappear when i leave my room, though now that i think about it, since i've been in college, all my friends were made from japanese class/japanese club so i guess i could have said they're not my friends.

Only had one person I saw who never heard of manga. I showed him DBZ and he was hooked instantly.

Well, since my community is a TOO Asian, everyone at least KNOWS what anime/manga is, but them liking it is a whole different story...
Why treat someone that much differently though? We could always have other interests, like movies, sports, games, etc

I do not bring up my ravenous otakuism unless they bring it up first. Or something alludes to A/M like the trapper keeper episode of south park.

i would talk about manga/anime if i have a feeling the person would like it which my intuition is usually right
but i always treat people the same whether they like manga/anime or not
i was nervous at first it was big & long & went straight up i had to try it i eased onto it & liked it! i went up & down on it.... i love escalators now! 😀
