Chobits connects to angelic layer. The reason why xxxholic and Tsubasa are being compared here is because they are very explicitly intertwined.

I enjoy both, but have to vote for Tsubasa.

I just feel more for the characters in Tsubasa (sp. Syaoran & Sakura) than I do for the characters in xXxHolic.

I think my bias may be because of my prior exposure to the Card Captor Sakura anime, though. After 20 DVD's (70 episodes, 2 movies), I just find Sakura so very endearing.

i like both of them a lot but if i had to choose....it'll be XXXholic...even tho i read more of tsubasa...dunno y...just...ya

In my opinion, TRC is nothing compared to XxxHolic though the latter is dragging now...

I second that. xxxHolic is far for mature and interesting, completely ripe to be regarded as a series of its own, the characters are distinct and strong, the life philosophy is above the average.

TRC is getting annoying with the this repetitive Syaoran and Sakura endless romance in every possible dimension. Bleh.

I'm torn between those two...
I loved the anime of TRC, but the manga seemed to become more gloomy as from what I've read on wikipedia...~
I've started xxxholic today, and it looks really nice, and I've read somewhere that it's near to its end (thankfully won't be so long as TRC~)..

i lost Tsubasa Recevoir Chronicles in the clones arc, i think the first volumes were the better ones. So i voted xxxholic, kind of like the supernatural stuff.

I've only read TRC so far, but they both seem interesting. I guess it depends on what you like and who you're talking too. My current impression is that TRC is much lighter and more humorous.
