My first thread here in the Yaoi/Yuri section, and I just wanted to have this simple survey of how many people like Yuri. I mean, if there are a lot of people who like it, then why is there so little of it.

I myself don't really "search out" Yuri, but when I happen to stumble upon one then I usually read it. Most of the times I don't like how Yuri is written, though it surprises me at rare occasions.

Yep.
Though there are more interesting shoujo-ai stories than yuri.
And I do searches for both genres every once in a while.

Edit:
Eh? I was the first to say yes? How sad~

I'm obsessed with it. I assume most here know that by now.

Love Yuri!
I have amassed numerous one-shots.
Along with multiple volume yuri mangas, too.

Good yuri anime is a bit scarce.
But Sasamekikoto will change that!!!

So yes, I'm a yes.

I cannot wait for the Sasame Kikoto anime. it will be awesome.

And I think the number of yuri anime out there is pretty fair given that it's a very small, specialized audience (though I suppose the number of which are "good" may be subjective).

Well there are a number of yuri anime out there.
But I would say Yuri Anime that has a exceptional feel too it.
I could only name, in my opinion, Blue Drop, KnM, and Mariasama (to an extent of shoujo ai).

Most follow a linear paved road a bit.
But I still enjoy the others too.
If it's yuri or shoujo ai or a bit vague, I'll take it any day.

I don't mind it. I haven't read all that many, but a few were decent and I hope to read more like those.

I've never read any, but I probably would if the art was good.

I'm too huge over it aside from some cute scenes involving women doing ecchi stuff. I don't know why but I love that the most.

Imo the yuri genre so far has been pretty crappy in the anime world. All those you mentioned aren't actually flagships for anime. KnM in my opinion was not that good. Sure the yuri stuff was good, but the mecha stuff and most of the characters were lame. Blue Drop started good but never really developed. Marimite... I dunno I liked it some time ago, but now.... nah... It's not a bad anime; not just my thing I guess.
😎 😀

Well, each has their faults of course, but for yuri's sake, the yuri was good.
Out of the three, Blue Drop was the best for me.
KnM, yeah the mecha were... horrible for me.
I even think Voltus 5 was a better mecha anime...
Marimite, it's just shoujo ai...

We'll just have to wait for that EPIC yuri anime.
