the attack on Konoha would be repetitive in itself since it's already been done. and if it goes that way then next thing you know it there's another character death, followed by another grieving part of the story that takes up 3 or 4 chapters. i actually want to see something a bit new, i dunno what exactly but at least something that hasn't been done already.

o_o I didn't mean it like that, I just meant that some aspects of naruto lately were getting repititive, and I hoped that by hurrying up the attack on konoha, it would get something new and not be repititive. And plus, this attack is gonna be different.

it would still be a repetition of what Orochimaru attempted only with a different outcome if that happened. and that kind of result would be kind of lazy and pointless too if you think about it. so much emphasis has been put into Konoha as a whole, that it wouldn't make sense for a result like that to happen imo. it's supposed to be the top village at the moment, plus it's the only one we've been shown with a pretty large amount of resource too. so it being burned to ashes with only 20 people left seems kind of way out there. and i doubt Naruto would just go on a rampage but it's likely such a huge flow of emotion from something like that could possibly kill him. especially since his seal is mostly handled by his states of distress and their severity.

it's like i said it's already, the attack thing's already been done. just cause it's a different guy at a possibly different level doesn't mean it's not going to be the same.

Did they show the whole attack on konoha in the manga? I don't remember. But we don't know what Kishimoto will put in the next chapter or the one after. I don't think they'll be the same just because they'll both be attacks on the same village ^_^ It's just my hopeful wishing that it won't be a deja vu of previous stuff that has already happened.

i dunno, that's the only way i can really see this. unless by some chances it's either less devastating that the previous one. or their ends up being a counterattack in already made for dealing with Pain from the code. which would make it pretty short too, but then again that would follow a formula on it's own as well. like the Immortal duo's attempt to capture Naruto in Konoha.

I'm guessing that the 8 tails person will get beaten by Sasuke and co., they will then confront Naruto(of course he'll survive the training), the only one left, hes about to face off with Sasuke/ is facing off with Sasuke, but shika and co. by then will have solved the code, and found something out about Pein

It would seem like the appropriate title considering the poor craptastic chapters we had to read these past few, o I dunno 100 chapters...

I dunno but I am upset with Naruto, It started off as an interesting series I thought I would be into, but now I am just disapointed with the entire damn thing, am I the only one who is upset?
Itachi turned out to be a little pussy in Akatsuki protecting his brother?!!?? what the hell is that!! Why join Akatsuki then!!!!

well i can't argue with your claims there. it has had it's extremely slow and agonizing moments with some arcs here and there. but some of them were pretty good though. i thought the whole Immortal duo arc was pretty good as well as the opening arc with rescuing Gaara, those were ok.
as for the sage arts, well it really depends on how much though Kishimoto's had into the whole idea for it to sink or swim. if he had it planned a while back when he started off using Jiraya then it shouldn't be that big of a problem. it really depends on how well it's played out. and at least it wouldn't be as inexplicable as Sasuke's power up.

So then Shino has no bugs and Neiji doesn't get Byakugan right? They've also got family traits that give 'em a leg up. As for Lee, that was the whole super shiny tournament, where Sasuke managed to improve his speed enough to match Lee's move. Yeah, Sharingan taught him the moves, but I think it's kakashi who makes the point of saying it doesn't automatically improve his skills. I don't think it's completely changed, but all the Sasuke focus definitely makes it feel that way. Even Shikamaru's getting more page time. Though I thought the manga was supposed to only have a year left, but I can't imagine Kishie wrapping it all up in under 100 chapters considering how he's dragging stuff out.

I'm seconding/thirding whoever said that Naruto should be told about his parents. Really not buying that it still needs to be some big bad secret.

I think Kishi will do the only thing left to do at this point to wrap Naruto up...
